Right, i'll try laying multiple octave leads and maybe automate some panning. Was planning on changing the hi hat too, it's just there for now. I'll probably change em to some slower paced open hats? What about the midrange bass? Besides just creating new variations/patterns. And to be honest I haven't really even focused on stereo width in my tracks, thanks for reminding me about that..renegadex wrote:@Dankstep - Good starting point I think. Next step i.m.o: leads. Brighten up your leads, add more leads, layer synths. Add some movement to the track, add some stereo width. Add some more hats perhaps, that one hat kind of gets annoying, and it's a bit loud. Pan them around. Widen things up. The main tone and vibe feels good, and you're definitely portraying what I think you're meaning to.
Edit: There I switched it with a different version where i added sub bass, a intro bassline filter rise, changed the hats, changed the first bassline pattern a little, and the mix is a bit different as well. This is the first time i've made a bass like this so i'm not sure how I should process it further. I've use small instances of camel crusher, compression, and some warp stretching.. that's about it.
