I feel like I pulled a nowaysj there, one-upping somebody's incredibly sad and disturbing story with something that happened in my circles... Sorry for that, pretty insensitive by me. It just reminded me of these events.

Needed a classic house party cable for a friend (stereo RCA > 3.5mm jack).. against
better judgement I went to a local electronics supplier. Just tried it out with three different
phones and a laptop and it simply won't do. Ton of noise and you can't touch it all
or the connection will be interrupted.

Paid €6 for it.. with a soldering kit you can make the cable with top notch plugs
for the same price Why do phones not have nice balanced XLR outputs.

came home pissed put a bunch of shit frozen chips in the oven and watched a bit of south park, chips didn't even burn but all the crap burnt onto that thing gave off enough smoke to set off the fire alarms which we'd assumed all year didn't work cos we smoke quite a lot in the yard

i've never heard anything like it, the one thing the landlord didn't cheap on is the noise of the fire alarms, not even beeping half of them were this yammering sound that went right into your skull, took bare running round and the downstairs flat worked out how to unscrew the fire alarm box and turn it off cos none of the buttons worked


ffs i was just a bit hungry

and after all that shit something had tripped the fuses and none of the electricity downstairs was working
