Ha, one time, some distribution list in one of the offices in Finland got messed up, and somehow had 40,000 employees added into them. The amount of people that replied to all along the lines of "remove me from this list" or "why am I on this list?" brought the email to a halt, in the end, there was something like 111,000,000 emails generated, we couldn't send or receive email, took about 4/5 days for it to get back to normal. Some jokes emails sent by people that suddenly had a worldwide audience for their bants though.
