Does the swearing litterally every 2 seconds in the think of it not sound overly forced to you?

Have you ever been around egomaniacal businessfolk or anyone involved in politics/PR? They swear... ALL THE TIME. My housemate's ex used to work in a press office just like that for New Labour in Portcullis House during the end of the Blair years... he reckoned they absolutely nailed it.

Malcolm Tucker is so spot on in the first couple of series, it's unnerving. The new series has been less brilliant, but it's still a fair bit better than most comedy that's on at the moment. :Q:

If that was Terri or Nicola Murray (Rebecca Front) then that was, err... the intention of the joke. They're both often trying to keep up with Malcolm's mouth to fit in, but they're not actually very good at it because they don't really like swearing. ;-)

I can't help it if you've had a full frontal lobotomy and can only now laugh at Looney Tunes and the jokes off Mini Milk sticks. There'll be a new series of Dick and Dom soon.

What's the amazing scene in one of the early episodes (if not first) where glenn gives a master class in the use of (shit?) - can't remember exactly, it was ages ago...but it's hilarious.

I think what i saw of it i must have missed the context of the jokes, but it seems to have a fanboy following in the same way peep show does

The humour is in the fact that people like this (legitimately) control our country.

Are you unable to put jokes into the context that they came from? Are words just words to you? Do you realise this message is part of a larger conversation or are you treating each word as an island unto itself?

I guess you've probably just not really watched it... anyone that thinks The Thick Of It is just about the swearing can't have been paying attention anyway. Was Yes Minister just about Bernard's failed metaphors to you, too? Is The Simpsons all about Bart saying "Don't have a cow man!"? Was the only joke in Fawlty Towers Manuel's spanish accent?

"That's top swearing..."

*drop*

I might dig that tune out. It was silly as fuck.

I saw a few episodes of the first series and was made to watch In the Loop in class once. Get jokes mate, found it half-amusing, but like i said or implied, many people believe it to be cleverer, wittier and generally better than what is actually presented to third parties with no strong interest in the show.

But what a high horse i have
