Other highlights were Bonobo 2hr dj set, Youngsta of course and Author live.
What happened to Planas live though ? I was at the fort at the announced time, we waited about half an hour but he didn't show up.
The Planas Live set did happen but it was moved forward an hour at the very last minute so loads of people (myself included) didn't make it down in time for the show. Not sure why that happened but yeah pretty disappointing.
He might be doing some support for submotion at some of the dates on the october tour though, so look out for that.

Dunno what that was about. Nothing's fallen through as far as I know. I didn't even realise fb's were at Dimensions. Weird.Johnlenham wrote: Ha! yeah fairsy fairs geezer, though i generally tend to go for the shy English rose type, not the plastic fake tan or tattooed dutty skanker type that puts out easy... unless its a serious dry spell seen? looolespire wrote:British girls are incredibly easy, really amazed me.Blerim wrote: Big festival, no love for the girl that cockteased me tho...

This got dropped numerous times over the weekend, anyone know what/who it is? I'm sure it's something obvious and it's really annoying me

Re: OUTLOOK 2012 CREW
Hello everybody,
I am from Croatia, Pula. Have been to all Outlooks since it came to Pula, so since 2010. Have been to Dimensions festival as well, so
I am familiar whats going on there. I've read lots of things here on forum about Croatia and problems that are going on there in the time of Outlook/ Dimensions,
so I decided to write a post how we see it from here.
First, I would like to thank English promoters/ whoever organized these beautiful festivals. We wouldnt be able to organize something like that.
I would like to thank everybody that came here during that period cuz festival wouldnt be same without you. English girls dancing to dubstep... craziest thing ever...
You brought us beautiful exciting new music that many of us didnt know about before. Thanks.
Croatian / Istrian ( Pula is in region called Istria ) people started to accept you. I remember that 2010 I was going alone, and I met only one Croatian
guy on festival... People were talking about some English festival was going on / nobody knew anything about it.
This year there was about 30 of us...And many more on festival... which is very good regarding to how expensive this is to us ( I spent my monthly income in this 10 days... no regrets at all )
Croatian people started to like Outlook and everything about it.
Yeah, there were numerous problems, especially 2011 when Outlook got larger.
Rapes, beatings, stealing from tents- awful things-I am ashamed that I am Croatian when I hear these things are happening. Croatian people can be real jerks sometimes.
But you are not innocent babies as well... I strolled through Puntizela after Outlook 2011... That was unbelievable. So much trash all around.. in the sea and everywhere...
One advice...try to hide drugs little bit better. Croatian people are not used to such large amounts of drugs that is used openly...
I read newspapers a week ago and saw English guy get caught with 200g of MD, 250g of K, some heroin and weed AFTER DIMENSIONS. I wonder how much
did he have before....
There was a big techno festival in Pula before-Valkana. Was even bigger than Outlook..It was relocated and closed after because there was too many drugs around it...
So please beware because the same could be with Outlook....
Next, I would like that you are more open to Croatian people. I know that this is English organized fest but and that you have heard bad things about us but please try to socialize more...
Whenever I tried to talk to English guy/ especially girl the conversation ended quickly when they heard my accent. Really few of them where open and really interested in
our culture and everything. I assure you, majority of us are here to have fun and meet new people as well as you are. Sometimes on Outlook we feel isolated in
our own country...
Next, I think that your own people are ripping you off on festival. I know that a price of 30 kuna for 0.5l of beer sounds ok to you, but for gods sake, you are not in England...
They are buying Croatian beer here for 5 kuna and selling you for 30. Total rip off.
I would like to write so much more here, but I cant remember now. Maybe next time.. Please ask whatever you want about Croatia, Pula, I will gladly answer..
Lets develop Croatian-English friendship through these beautiful festivals..
See you next year...

Agree with you,
the amount of drug was litterally AMAZING this year... Even more than in Belgian Festivals

Hvala Siouxsie
I've got nothing but love for Croatians. I seriously didn't want to come home this year, I felt so at home out there. I went for a walk around the colloseum this year which was amazing, I love how they use it for concerts as well.
Hopefully I'll be able to spend a bit longer in croatia next year, might fly in to Dubrovnik and then drive up to pula, stop in at Split on the way.

I agree with you on the inflated beer prices but 30k for a pint still works out cheaper than any club/venue in Brighton on a normal night.
And at most UK festivalis the pints are pushing £4.20+ so Outlook was still cheap in comparison.

Thanks PinUp.
Manu Chao was in colloseum few years ago. One of the best gigs in my life. The southern coast is even more beautiful ( especially islands ), but people are much more conservative than here in Istria ( because of war etc.. ).
People here are complaining about quality of food on festival sites. If you are lucky enough to have a car while here, go to central Istria or up along the coast and you will have such gourmet treats for a price of 2 burgers on festival.
I would really like that we incorporate more Croatian things in festival....You come with the music, we come with food and drinks. There are so much better things than fish and chips...
There is no fun coming to a foreign land and do everything you do at home is it???
ANd one question for the girls... Whats up with those hot pants that end up in the middle of waist. Seems to me that everyone of you has at least 10 pairs of them. Hahaha. So funny.....

@ Johoosh
As I said, I know that these prices are ok to you, but the festival is on Croatian soil. They could have put them 15k and still make loads of cash. I dont want to talk about shots....
I saw they were selling rakija shots for 20k a piece, and not even homemade. I can get almost a liter for that cash ( and much better quality ).
I am just sayin that if they dropped the prices of food/drinks by half, they would still make lots of money, unless you wanna feel like home....

No i totally agree with you mate, its still stupidly overpriced, its just me & my mates didnt really mind/notice as it still worked out cheaper than a UK festival, which are just stupidly expensive tbh.

Yeah I've been to the island Mljet when I was younger, it was stunning! We stayed in Valbandon this year, it was nice to be able to see more of the area than just the festival site for once. We went to Fazana for dinner one night which was really nice, we all ate a decent meal and had a few drink for less than £10 so I agree that it pays to venture out a bit.siouxsie wrote:Thanks PinUp.
