@LordBid - I like what you've done so far, nice and chilled. I think despite it being a really relaxed song, it does need some form of drop, rather than the bass just coming in sort of indecisively. Your drums could be spiced up a little - maybe add some delay, chop them up and make glitchy fills or mess with panning.
Here's yet another one of my '30 tracks in 30 days' pieces. It's dubsteppy and in 5/4. Let me know what you think.

Intro reminded me off some mad BBC news- type thing
Gotta say, 5/4 tim sig. gives it a really urgant, chaotic vibe with lends it's self well to the genre. Thinking some prodigy-esque hard lead sound would be SO nice building up the second drop, 'cos when the drums kick in, it'd explode

Thanks for the advice. I added the synth sound you suggested, but mostly after the second drop. Little bits come in before, but it sounded a bit weird being full on before the drop - made the drop a bit weak. I also messed with the pads to make them more betterer
