I want to know where that spiced rum came from! that was lush! was nice to walk around Pula and go to the fishmarket and go into random pubs and resturants. Outside of the festival was really cheap £2 for a monster burger, think I paid 60p for some crazy meat filled, cheesed covered twist thing!

Think we paid £6 each for soup, main, water and beer for everyone but I couldnt tell you what croatia food is like as all we found was pizza/pasta/grilled meats in pula which was abit of a shame.

we had a really nice restaurant near our apartment.
they had some great seafood and grilled meat.
we've also spent some time in pula which was a nice diversion from the festival.
and i've only met friendly croatian people! :4:

I met quite a few croatian people and had some good conversations with them (in particular I vaguely remember one particularly long and rambly conversation at the photo booth thing while proper lean up - incidentally, did those photos ever surface? ), though I think there was a mistrust built up between foreigners and locals. The amount of stories I heard from people warning me about under cover police trying to sell you drugs. Even the English drug dealers specifically said they didn't want their numbers being handed out to locals. This plus some of the stories from last year probably meant many were wary of the locals. Which is a shame because everyone I met was dead sound.

Yeah,
you have to go a little bit from main tourist attractions to find decent meals.. Thats the same in every tourist city... I still remember how they ripped me off on Leicester square for an ice cream...

I will hopefully come to London this fall. I have to visit Fabric again, still remember the soundsystem...

As far as the drugs are concerned here is the situation:

MD- very rare in Croatia- I am only taking it on Outlook, and it seems to me that you guys are bringing it ( keep the good job )
K-non
speed-tons of it ( cheap )
coke-could be found, middle to bad quality, very pricey, dont recommend it here
herb- not so much skunk that you are used to, but loads of great (cheap) outdoors, sometimes for me it is even better than indoor.

Ofcourse majority of dealers would try to rip you off, so it would be very good if you know someone here.

@ meanmrcustard

These stories about undercover police are pure nonsense. There are maybe 5 of them on whole festival, and they will only catch you if you are obviously dealing shitloads

of something or firing monster J somewhere aside in bushes. Nobody will even look at you while you take your drugs in crowd..
Yeah, last year wasnt good for the reputation of Croats on Outlook....
There are lots of idiots living in Pula and thats truth. I live very near, and I dont like to go for a night out there honestly. Every now and then there is a fight or stabbing or smth... for no reason.
Serious concetration of small minded fools there. But dont worry, there are still high majority of us that loves you guys and that are delighted that such an event is organised
in our place..
I love seeing you pale-skinned on the beach....hahaha

Other highlights were Bonobo 2hr dj set, Youngsta of course and Author live.

What happened to Planas live though ? I was at the fort at the announced time, we waited about half an hour but he didn't show up.
Bigups.

The Planas Live set did happen but it was moved forward an hour at the very last minute so loads of people (myself included) didn't make it down in time for the show. Not sure why that happened but yeah pretty disappointing.

He might be doing some support for submotion at some of the dates on the october tour though, so look out for that.
Aah ok ! So we missed him it wasn't cancelled. Too bad.
Unfortunately I live accross the Channel in France so I won't be seeing the live show and Submotion anytime soon. At next year's Outlook hopefully !

Cheers for answering !

Last year was chatting with this bloke who told me that his mate got nicked the night before. He said someone came up to his mate. Asked him if he smoked green and asked if he would skin up for him. Passed him the rizla, tobacco and green and as soon as he started rolling pulled out a badge and he was undercover croatian police. Told him to pay a 300 quid fine on the spot or hed get nicked.

All about Dalmatia mate, the rest of Croatia is a dump comparatively. Go to Split/Trogir/Sibenik and check islands Hvar and Pag. Best sea in Europe.

Seriously, I've never heard about something like this. Never happened to me or to anybody I know. Must be some jerk with a fake badge looking for a quick money... Feeling sorry for your mate..

Yeah I was told enough times not to buy from anyone not speaking straight pure English as entrapment is legal in croatia so even just being asked
"do you have any X to sell"
"nah sorry"
"do you have any X atall"
"yeah"
Is enough to get you nicked!

This ofcourse could all be rumor mill in full motion but I dont thin kanyone wanted to take chances.

Entrapment was legal until this year is what I heard. 52 people got bagged in 2010 which was more than 1% of everyone at the festival lol.

We bought loads of pills and mandy of a local dude who claimed to have shot 10,000 pills in the first 3 days ffs!

Every single Croatian i met was sound as fuck, and I'm still in contact with a few. Love Croats

Yeah, sorry to hear that man.. But you know the dealers.. They always want to rip you off as much as possible especially if you are stranger. When I was
in London 4 years ago couldnt score green anywhere. Guys wanted to sell me tea in Camden ( what the fuck??? ), then one guy said I should go to Portobello,

lots of activity there, but no one wouldnt sell me either... Fuckin street dealers...
Best thing you can do while in Croatia is to make friends with some locals ( I assure you there is plenty of good herb here- coming from someone who lived in Dam for couple of months )
and you will have plenty of it. Otherwise....tough luck. Green is relatively cheap ( you shouldnt pay more than 300k for 5g of great outdoor )..

My mate found a massive bag of green on the first day. What we didn't smoke he gave away for free to a random guy who asked us if we were selling any.

Once he realised my mate wasn't taking the piss and it was actually weed he'd given him, the most bizarre backwards bartering ensued. The guy wanted to give 200kn, my mate wanted nothing for it. I think they ended up dealing on 50kn.

Sorry for the bump ;)

My first Outlook and the highlight for me simply was Skream's set on the main stage after DMZ. I was there expecting his usual style aggy set but when he intro'ed with Lemon (I think) and then upon realising after the first few tracks that he was just playing old stuff (bar like a few tracks) - OH MY FUCKING DAYS.

Best time of my life, see you this year - it's a definite.

Just to add; I hated the track "Poison Dart" before the festival.. When I heard it at DMZ, I actually cried it was so good.

Were we at the same festival? Joker played after DMZ on the main stage.
