Beautifully choregraphed fight scenes (Eric Bana vs goons in a subway station is awesome), nothing too over the top, beautifully shot and generally enjoyable. Would recommend.

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.

I got the blu-ray for xmas and the extras: making of the film, blew my mind with some of the modern CG techniques, parts of the film
I actually thought were costume and animatronics or trained chimps, were all CG. There is also lots of little secret references to the originals scattered throughout.
Holy shit, really? Naaah, this is one of your sarcastic or ironic posts, surely.
Anyway, I just watched it. It was not shit but
nowhere near as good as people have made out. Will not be watching again in a hurry, in fact i'd go so far as to say that if I was stupidly lean and it came on the telly i'd be bothered enough to get up and change the channel if the remote was broken.
The vet was nice though.
Not sarcastic or ironic, cg was flawless for the most part, I did not sit watching it bothered that it looked out of place like King Kong.
Anyway seen this last night...

6/10 no new ideas but some fun parts.

Watched this last night, I still can't work out what the fuck was going on though. It was proper gripping though, didn't want to blink unless I missed anything!

I really enjoyed this. It's so stupid but still I was laughing the whole time and shaking my head afterwards "Why did I laugh at THAT?"

Saw A Trip to the Moon (1902) and A Trip to Mars (1910) at a film exhibition I went to yesterday. Oldest film I'd see before was Birth of a Nation (1914) so was cool to see these. The first especially had astonishing special effects for the time considering it was only 7 years into the birth of cinema. You can track that down on YouTube I think and it's less than 10 mins long. Second one I don't think is widely available anywhere. Also, saw something called Astro Black there which marketed itself as a history of hip hop series. In reality it was 4 short episodes which used lots of music samples and film samples merged together - the on screen version of hip hop I guess.

Yeah big up Jesus for dying for our sins and netting us a public holiday in the process.
Also, hot cross buns.

Although you could say I'm not exactly a fan of religion, I did enjoy this movie a lot.
Watched Snatch yesterday, I expected it to be smarter. The editing and acting was perfect though.
