Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for OCTOBER, 2010
ive gave feedback on the soundclouds
ok bear in kind that this is a MAJOR WIP so yeah just gimmie your opinions on it so far
specifically if you can hear the sub bass in this, it might be because i made it on my pc but im now on a i mac and the built in speakers are hardly ideal for listening to dubstep

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for OCTOBER, 2010
i like the glitchy vibe you have going. i would probably EQ that main synth, strip out some of the high frequencies so it doesn't muddy up the rest of the audio.Neff wrote:ive gave feedback on the soundclouds![]()

@aspect-dubz
I really like the gritty sounding intro. I also love what you're doing with the hi hat and snare. Very groovy.
@Stopdroproll
Nice feel to the whole track. The only thing I would suggest is possibly bring up all the wobbles. It feels like they're almost getting lost in everything else.
@mr_ooze
Digging the different wobbles. Maybe a slightly heavier drop. Then I think if you can samples of them saying stuff, i think that would be pretty funny.
Here's my first real attempt at a dubstep track.

It has been a while since I posted my last tune. Please, share your feedback once again. It's probably the best I ever did till date.
I will comment some tunes in my next post later on.
Thanks!

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for OCTOBER, 2010
Ok,so I know this is a "track" work in progress thread,but since there is none for mixes,I'm gonna put it here..It's my first DJ set ever,and I'd just like to know if there's any Dj with advice for me since I'm playing my first gig on October 30th..Now I know this isn't the most tightest of mixes,and there's a couple fuck ups here and there but since I'm playing in front of people who don't have a clue,I think it's going to be ok..So advices?

loving everyones tunes. i will give proper feedback after i eat, just wanted to post this up here to get some feedback.
its a 128 thing, not really "dubstep" but i got bored and started cutting samples up, 808 and stuff more of a minimal thing.
any feedback would be great, and ill post some specific feedback on others shortly!
cheers

@goldorak - loving this. like the minimal percussion. and the creeping bass roars are great.
@tripwire - love the mallets on empty and the pads are great. the drop reminds me of a laid back mala tune. keys are lovely as well.
@neff - liking the glitchy feel. could see a big drop coming in though! looking forward to hearing more.
@trekk - really like the use of samples, really great ambient feel to it. the faster part at the ending is amazing. looking forward to hearing this finished, loving it so far.
@superginger - so happy haha. love the piano bit. good sub bass too
quick feedback post will listen to more soon!

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for OCTOBER, 2010
@Trekk thats a sick snare you got there, cant wait to hear a finished version of this. Its sounding pretty damn nice.
@Thebender thats sounding good, but the transition between verse and break could do with a bit of a tidy up.
@goldorak I really like the percussion on this one its inventive, but maybe it could do with a bit of a switch up after the breakdown.
Two bits from me, collabs with a hip hop producer called kuduru.

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for OCTOBER, 2010
thanks man, in regards to your own track I'd perhaps even out your mix, it seems as though the percussion straight after the drop are droned out by your synth's. I like what ya have going thoughIC0N wrote:@aspect-dubz
