I think some kind of monthly subscription would be fine, it doesn't have to be much... a couple of quid each - it would soon add up.

not sure it's in rinse's interests
on the plus - more promotion for the station
on the minus - they want people to lock real time - listen to the adverts etc, support the DJs in the lonely studios etc

yeh, know what u mean. Think i would still tune in live whenever i could though.
would be good though, cos u could get the risne stuff from there and get all the other stuff from barefiles, which would be easier to handle for Deapoh.

It's not a problem to handle, it's a problem recording every show. I'm not always in to keep the computer recording.
Barefiles will be back up in a few days. Just adding a buncha (~40) mixes quick time. Downloads are still failing but what I suggest is just keep trying and trying!

maybe you could organise a small team of people who were up for contributing their time and resources, to share the load. you could arrange it so you had certain days each or whatever
cos its not fair for you to do everything really is it?!

After what happened to me today, I would like to make a full retraction of my remarks and install double glazing around my face.

hahahah Jubscarz you crack me up!
oi everyone listen I'm gonna keep it free and have the donations link up so whoever donates does but it's not being forced on anyone.
Site back up very very soon, it's all running smooth script wise but the servers still failing it's downloads... I'm still talking to the webhost about getting it sorted.
Also:
Basically if you put barefiles.com ona flyer or give me some sort of promotion back, you can advertise your night or whatever with a 500x100 banner on the front page. PM me here or contact via the site.

Yo Deapoh - would something like this help you out? -
http://www.fileplanet.com/153938/150000 ... o-Recorder
http://www.fog-ware.com/irr.htm
Not sure how either of these work to be honest, but I had one a while back on my pc that worked pretty well. These are just a few of the ones that came up when I did a google. The first one is free, but I know theres ways of getting all of them for free...
Maybe have a few peeps on the team running these when they're out to get all of the goodness...
Another thing that might help with the donations is to have a goal for the month and then a counter showing how for you have to go and who donated how much like on
http://www.dnbradio.com. I think it helps with getting the donations to come in faster when people have a goal to hit.
Another possibility would be to hold a monthly event and have the profits go to Barefiles - that would need the perfect arrangement though, free or cheap venue and free or cheap talent etc...
