so fucking true. I was such a big kromestar fan say 4 years ago or so but the past two years every release of him sounds the same. I am looking forwardo to seeing him live though at the next untitled! edition.Acre wrote:kromestar - my sound over silkie - city limitsi'm sorry but my sound is such a boring album, so so dry

you are wrong. if you look better you will se that every category has profile pages, but not every name has profile page!dj $hy wrote:Bless up to the Dubstepforum & Juno for hosting the awards and congrats to all the winners!
Just one thing.... Why dont all the catergories have profiles links as all involved deserve the publicity for getting that far?! Its a shame IMO
it is really very big shame and we are very sad because of that! reason is simple: many people didnt send us material for their profiles!
although we contacted everyone who we had in our forum database to send us materials and even put it as announcement on forum!
Re: Dubstepforum Awards 2010 Winners
it was 3rd for the most time of the voting, but it ended 4th only 4 votes behind 3rd...Rahul wrote:cant believe that silkies city limits came 4th in best albumbig up to all the winners anyway

It just doesn't make any sense how Skream can win best DJ?! Don't get me wrong, I have upmost respect for his productions and the atmosphere he brings to the dance. His selection is all over the place, poor beatmatching even on CDJs, hardly ever blends 2 tracks and constant rewinds all through his sets. N-Type at least plays similar styles to Skream but the way he goes about it is 20x better, i just don't understand the logic behind people voting for him?

Re: Dubstepforum Awards 2010 Winners
mate this is a popularity contest...the panel aren't experts in djing but fans
don't let it bother you so much!
it could be worse...it could have been borgore that won...
whenever i've seen skream i havent noticed anything shoddy tbh....
i am more perturbed by what were very very nearl the best new producer results

yeah, us here in the states haven't heard of some of the acts you guys were sad to see down the ranks. i'm pretty well versed in dubstep (for an american i guess) but haven't got into youngsta, oneman, or a lot of acts that haven't toured here/had much of a presence here.dj klaim wrote:oh.....and don't forget America is a big country, they probably had a large percentage of voting.
also, hyperdub comp was overrated crap imo. definitely should have gone to city limits.

also, a bit surprised by 16bit. but glad to see all the other brostep get pushed down the ranks. this bro-scene within the scene is like an anchor dragging it down. boring, redundant, shitty, derivative wobble.

Re: Dubstepforum Awards 2010 Winners
that 16bit mix is not purely brostep as i pointed out earlier, its got some darkstar and pangea and loads of other nice deep shit towards the end, a;sp there is nothing wrong with filth and wobbles so long as it's done wellelpretentio wrote:also, a bit surprised by 16bit. but glad to see all the other brostep get pushed down the ranks. this bro-scene within the scene is like an anchor dragging it down. boring, redundant, shitty, derivative wobble.

Hoped that City Limits would've come higher, but chuffed that Joy Orbison came so high!
Now I have to try and pull myself away from Room1 @ DMZ to catch a bit of his set... Somehow

Neva would of put dub police and rottun in 2nd and 3rd. Agreed Hyperdub are a good 1st. Would of had Deep Medi in the top 3 though.
And having distance at 14th in the producer award....about 14 places too low for me lol.
Big ups to all nominees still.

^^^this^^^ youngsta smashes it everytime. no offense to skream coz he's alot more visual when you watch him (jumping about when stuff drops, doing bassfaces etc) but youngstas mixing ability surpasses everybody else by miles (maybe apart from seven)
oh well..... whats done is done.
big up to all the winners

Skream winning best DJ makes perfect sense in my opinion. His DJ schedule in 09 was fucking ridiculous......which means...more people get to see him play, which means...more votes!rliquid wrote:It just doesn't make any sense how Skream can win best DJ?! That was the point I was getting at. Love Skream, love his shows but you make a good point which I agree with.rliquid wrote:It just doesn't make any sense how Skream can win best DJ?! Re: Dubstepforum Awards 2010 Winners
people on this forum whine and cry a lot. lol
biggup to all winners, and biggup all voters.
despite many of you having your elitist views on what should and shouldn't be winning. remember that the votes count way more than individual opinions.
big ones to dubstepforum and juno as well.
good times!
