Yeah, the Americans started such things as forced sterilisation and selective immigration policies with state backing which inspired the N A Z I S to do the same. Summed up in this article (add www.):

same way mate, went to last page to see if it was breaking news or just ANOTHER thread like this. it appears to be another one.....

i read it all, same thread per usual.

people need to realize that this forum is not dubstep itself, and relax

but if you do want to bitch about people bitching please be a sport and use one of the hundreds of other threads created through the years on this ironic topic (moaning about moaning)
creating another thread about it is just like not using the tune id thread; makes the forum messy having repetitious threads about the exact same thing everywhere

adults don't get bothered by people that disagree with them on internet forums, or people that make posts they don't like. come back when you're at that point, please. we will all thank you.

if you don't like it, don't read it.. not like we're clockwork orange-ing you to reading all the stupid posts here.

real talk, in hindsight as i saw the responses to this thread build up i felt like it might have been a better idea to just keep my mouth shut. i was attempting to solicit an honest response as to why there's such a condescending attitude here and you all let people get away with it, and after talking with some of my actual friends who frequent forums more (something i've never done) i began to understand that this is kind of just an internet thing. i think that's really sad, honestly, because i have no doubt that if all the people in this thread were together in a room that we wouldn't be excited to just meet so many other people who were passionate about our favorite music. no doubt we'd even put our heads together and come up with some good ideas.

another snippy reply, but one that actually makes sense. why am i complaining about it if it's out of my control? i guess some of what i see on this forum just really irks me, and whether or not that's a personal thing i'm not so sure yet. however, several other people seem to be glad that i said something, judging on the amount of PMs i've got from people agreeing with me. do i think that it's gonna change the attitude problem (or, to be more precise, what appears to be an attitude problem to me)? i guess it was worth a shot wasn't it?
MPathy wrote:Who the fuck smokes Marlboro anyway....
me and my whole family, for some reason. this should really have nothing to do with the argument, but the brand of cigarette someone likes is just a matter of taste isn't it? which is what this whole argument is about. people having opinions and acting like they're superior because of them, instead of acknowledging that it's all nothing but a matter of taste, and their taste is no better than anyone else's. thanks for highlighting how prevalent this line of thinking is here by applying it to something as small as smoke preference.
deamonds wrote:to the op, ur tunes shit, werz da base?
 well when i play it through my studio monitors, and in my friend's car with alpine 15's, or on a pair CV TS-42 21", it certainly seems like it has plenty of bass. what are you listening through? it's pre-master, obviously, still in the sketching stage. however, if you just think it's shit, then what would you recommend changing? i'm always looking for constructive criticism, and if you wanna send me some via PM or whatever, feel free to.

hmm... i wasn't really bothered that anyone was disagreeing with me. i did see some posts that pissed me off, but i think that's fairly normal? i spoke my mind and it didn't seem to help much at all, but, again, i didn't know that wishing people would be more respectful to each other was an offensive stance to take. and that's totally true! nobody is forcing me to read it, but it pops up in literally every other thread i read on here, so, even you have to admit, it really goes hand-in-hand with using DSF. should i just quit using DSF? i probably won't, because the production forum is awesome, and i really do like dubstep.

Pretty sure the idea of a forum is to put across your veiws as you have done. Thus as previously mentioned lowering yourself to something you dont believe in!

If people want to hate then so be it! Its their choice!

You silly sausage! and look at all the space you took up as well!

Hahaha. It looks like your feeling a little superior now as well, am i wrong? Apparently you don't have any time for such nonsense..but how long did it take you to write that little rant? :t:

The reason i regularly visit this forum is because i can't get enough of this genre and it's scene. I guess i've slowly become more negative because, before my very own eyes, the things i enjoy most about listening, and almost 'belonging' to this genre, are being torn down by the influx of wobblestepping, bandwagon jumping idiots who are tearing down and completely misrepresenting what dubstep is all about. It's come to the point where I don't feel comfortable saying i'm into dubstep anymore. Anyway, i am actually 18 and i guess you could call me a 'kid'. The first dubstep tune i heard was Night when it came out and never looked back since. Through the 3+ years i have been listening to dubstep i have gained a lot of respect for what people like Burial, Kode and the Mystikz have done for this genre. I guess you could say i joined the scene quite late but i luckily i didn't have guys like Mt Eden or Datsik to completely mislead me and dominate my view of the scene, although i've always reassured myself that i would have always ended up where i am now. I bet you never even heard of dubstep 3 years ago and haven't seen it's image slowly butchered.

Anywayz, out to the dubstepforum gang! Spent many a productive hour discussing the shit out of a thread. Respect.

about 10 minutes. and i'm not trying to say i'm above this sort of shit, obviously i'm not, since right now i'm pretty steeped in it. but that doesn't invalidate my points, does it?

im 19 years old (today being my birthday). i'm not from the UK. i had never heard of jungle, garage or anything like that until AFTER i'd heard of dubstep, which was probably about 2 years ago or so. but that doesn't mean i can't spot ugly behavior when i see it, or that i'm some bandwagon jumping idiot.

did you ever stop to consider that maybe people like datsik are actually very passionate about the music they make? that even if you think it's complete bullshit, there is actually still artistic value to it? you may think it's a shallow interpretation of what you know to be dubstep, but who are you to tell people what decent music is? if they want to go to a rave, pop a 30 sack of tabs and convulse to excision, that's their life, and it's not your place to pass judgment on them. i know my ideas throughout this thread have gotten convoluted in a variety of ways, but all i was really asking for was for people to accept that it's just their personal taste, and to let it go when someone creates something that clashes with it, instead of focusing their energy on bringing them down.

this all reminds me of when i used to go to punk shows, and all four of the headlining bands would just sit in their respective corners being smug and miserable, talking shit about how the other bands weren't "true". i don't want to see dubstep come to that.
