You're being just as a much of an annoying tnuc as those who go "oh yeah I love dubstep" just to look cool. Just because you're going the other way doesn't mean it's not still all about the image people have of you. If you're into good music you shouldn't give a fuck what people think. Support the music you love. Don't be embarrassed. If you're into it because of the music what people think shouldn't be important. You're all a bunch of fashion following twats otherwise. Just in disguise as being all underground and knowledgeable. You can be an even more of an idiot by trying too hard to not be into bad music. It's about the music, who gives a fuck about image. Good dubstep still exists. It's not dead.

you sound like a really fun guy
to be fair i was exaggerating a tad, it'd be far more likely to transpire as follows:
them: what music you into
me: metal and dubstep
them: oh yeah, dubsteps sick, wub wub wub
me: goodbye

I usually say deep house and start making up fake names of producers I like.
See, I actually like music that I say I like.

Well, You can assume that I mean the very hard edged techno stuff he produces as I listed him with those others. I mean I know he does all sorts of music too it's just his harder stuff is what I mainly listen to hence him being in a list with other harder producers.

and secondly that shit isn't "bangers". I mean that phrase seems to be associated with jump up and "brostep". I don't think you can call any of those producers guys who make "bangers". I mean this isn't a "banger" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOUcJv9ha1Y as far as I'm concerned.

yeeeah maybe... i still enjoy listening to some tunes especially my old collection... don't follow it nearly as much as i used to, and playing out putting people to sleep isn't fun but def not desperate enough to start playing tunes i have no interest in at all, saying that I've actually got a life now lol... so dubstep is dead to me and so is any other music 'scene'...

Since i got my life on track and started becoming interested in a lot more things other than being a wasteman, going to any nights including house, dnb, dubstep its all the same to me now, posers.. 'scenesters'... 'hipsters'... wastemen.. mess heads.. , seems to be less about music these days or maybe it was never about the music, but for me it was... integrity, quality and playing and doing what your passionate about has fissled out imo, so dubstep really to me become like anyother scene... electro few years ago, dnb ten years ago, house twenty years ago. People arguing about anything and everything, what they listen to and whats 'real' and whats not. when they started listening to it and the inevitable 'I was here before you', discussions of whether sub genres exist or not blah blah blah basically yeah haha... dubstep being dead is just a sign that your growing out of it or a cue for you to move on to other the things, for me its def cue to grow up and not waste my time and money on pretty much useless interests.
