I reckon reason does more so surely? fruity and the 'almighty' logic looks that way to me too actually.
Infact, I barely dare say it because I know how much people worship logic round these parts but i've always found it just looked a bit 'garage band pro'

My step sequencers functionality kicks the shit out of your step sequencers functionality.
And love philter wins.
But seriously...
This thread is lame.

I agree with this!! Ableton looks far from a kids toy!! IMO layout wise, Garageband/Logic look most "Fisherprice" like.. cute little diagrams, pretty buttons, pretty colorful tracks! All of witch, i'm pretty sure, aren't customizable!
I started out my production(i wouldn't call it production, more messing around) w/ Garageband.. and I think Garageband is the reason I'm not to eager to try Logic.

It won't surprise you then to hear that users can load Garageband projects in Logic.

Lol at this!! Dude please don't tell me your calling one of the most expensive and complex DAWS out there (logic pro) a fisherprice toy. Get your head screwed on if this is the case. Logic is a complex as a DAW come sif you know what you're doing.

Haha now the real cat fight begins! Yeah I think Logic looks like a video game. I really don't want or need all that fancy looking GUI to con me into thinking the plugins sound amazing. I have monitors for that. I love that abletons clean look doesn't get in the way of objectivity.

I'm not in anyway doubting Logic.. IMO From the specs and word of mouth its probably the most powerful bundle out there.. I was just saying, from outside looking it, it appears most 'simple'.. simple isn't the right word but I can't think of anything at the moment.

Ableton is hitherto known as Fisher Price Live
Oh yeah numb-skulls who don't get the point of this thread, It's supposed to be twat bickering, that's the fun. It's like one of those threads where you get to tell everyone to fuck off for no real reason other than that they're different than you. Shows a real evolutionary leap in human socialization when we can argue incessantly over petty opinions and still maintain a level of civility.
so bite one you greasy pork swords, your mum uses Reaper and looooves it!

Only thing I don't like about ableton is that it makes me feel a bit like a snobby grown up around all the kids using reason and all the other mickey mouse DAWS

Why are people calling logic pretty? I think it looks professional.
Its simple, clear and a monotone grey/black... far from all this 'pretty boy' smack talk going around.

ok since noone has done it yet, im going to stick up for cubase
i used to use reason and i still love it for the fact that it was what i learned how to produce in, but since i switched to cubase, i find my tunes sound much cleaner adn i can do much more of what i want to
any DAW is all about how well it works with your workflow, and i love cubase, sure there are a few annoying bits, but for me nothing would beat it
although, i am slightly envious of all the awesome built in plug ins of logic.
once my hackintosh is up and running properly i will have to give it a go but CUBASE FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
