Dope tune. Would be even better without the high pitched synths imo.

i like it when the track gets a bit faster or more syncopated... before that tho, its good but nothing that special from other tracks by skream... plus why does he not pronounce oscillator properly? its a silent 'c' mate lol.

Very big tune, really feeling this, But then again this is to my personal taste, And last time i looked that was not a crime. Maybe tune of the year is a bit quick, there is still a massive tune, For me 2D is leading the way simply because it really is like nothing else, but all the same a very big tune.

I dont understand why some people are so quick just to rubbish something, I dont really like house music but i have bought house records that ive liked and at the moment a do enjoy listening to a bit of electro house. (kinda going of point but im basically saying im not a house fan but everyweek millions of people by it, go raving to it, smash it on there IPODs and that cant be a bad thing so i have a lot of respect for it.

So to finish, Yes it was one of those tunes that makes you move out of control and is prob to blame for alot of peoples neck damage. But he is showcasing a small corner of what this scene offers, think of the deeper tumes out there.

Dub Period
Request Line
Skunk Tip
Goat Stare
The Digital Mistikz remix of that Fat Freddy's Drop tune.

You also have tunes on the other side i.e

Blipstream
Crunked Up
Lightening
Torture
Darker side of life
Cum dancing (dubchid remix).

These are just examples of what the scene has to offer and there are plenty more to, same as if your not into TC's Jump up shindigs (I quite like certain ones but more of a Ed Rush Optical and myself). There is plenty more for drum and bass to offer you, same with dubstep.

sorry that this looks proper long and whingy but i cant understand the thoughts behind "It's just rubbish......Period". If it aint you thing....thats cool, but just have a little respect for it and understand there are people out there that will love it.

its the reference to "clownstep" that scares me.

if its got a big wobbly bass then its dumb and you're not allowed to like it.

great!

an amazing tune like this comes along and i guess I'll have to pretend not to like it in case the "intelligent drum n bass" police come round and knock on my door.

"excuse me sir, you know that new tune that you really like, the one with the huge, crazy bassline. would you mind not liking it please, its not clever (like me). thanks. perhaps you'd like to try this one - its weird and glitchy. or maybe this one - its got a saxophone in it. that's better - now run along..."

BIG UP SKREAM.

no offence to skream but i dont think we can really give him any credit for that seeing as the melody is completely rinsed note for note off one of the reaktor sequenced synths presets

What is the difference between a sample and a fruity loops flute preset? We all have to start somewhere....
I have never once used a fruity loops preset. . . .When i said fuck that i meant sample cd's altogether . . . . I just feel your so limited when using samples. . . .
maybe someone should post up a high quality version of this reaktor preset so we can all get remixing!!!

Skream has undoubtably made some bangers which i don't disagree with however if you are taking a preset sound and banging it in your track i think this does devalue the track....maybe the pioneers of hip hop used sampled loops but that was when a sampler was all they had....in the age of synthesis, computer software etc.... i think it is a bit lazy and people should be creating their own sounds or at least manipulating what is infront of them rather than just taking and recontextualising.....

i didnt realise he said that. what a blag :?

i dont particularly have much of a problem with the tune (although i dont particularly like it either), but you cant claim hes doing something new and original when all he did was open a program and press play. i even made a tune with it in about a year ago, but i would never dream of releasing anything like that because i didnt write it.

ill upload a sample of the preset later if you want

you'd be surprised by the amount of people doing this, i aint that bothered, hes built up a awesome track around it, and its only a few notes, who cares?

listen to the modeselektor album for bare reaktor rip-offs!

if it was only a few notes i wouldnt care, but its not its the whole melody, which is pretty much the focus of the tune. and hes doing it while claiming that he never uses presets which is pretty out of order i reckon

The sound is there to be used, anyone could have used it. If it was so easy to use the sound and make a banging track then why have we only heard about it now huh?? It's all good saying this come from here and that come there, but it's actually doing something with it and putting it together that counts. I could sit here and say ahh I was gonna use that sound blah blah blah but all the gear and no idea will not make a track for no one.

Big up the Alias crew, there's loads of ya.

in my experience people who cry foul when someone uses a preset are just shit at building tracks. they resort to elitism to feel better about their inadequacies. :!:

truth is, i'd worry about making an absolutely banging track long before the idea of using preset sounds bothered me.... :D
is it?

NO.

Prefer this to 2d 100%, not the best skream tune ever but still rough.
