But I didn't talk shit
I still don't really have a beef with him other than that he's somewhat incoherent and rather grouchy.

Variant In Production . Its basically when a producer makes his own track come from a different angle to breathe new live into it..
IN other words, an excuse to re-sell the track cause its "new" again.

Urgh. This whole "OMG I can't believe he remixed xxxx" thing is bullshit. There's no valid reason why you shouldn't bootleg whatever the fuck you want. But - and this is a pretty significant but - that doesn't mean you *should*. Furthermore, be mindful of the fact that if the original is a masterpiece and your remix sucks, then your remix will appear to suck even harder. If you haven't got anything interesting to say about the original, then you shouldn't do a remix, end of story. Then again, I suppose that's basically my feeling about music in general -- if you haven't got anything interesting to say, shut up and stop contributing to the mediocrity of which there's already no shortage...
For the sake of examples:
- Mt Eden's bootleg of Archangel is clearly terrible, but I'm not exactly outraged that he did it. I just wish I hadn't subjected my ears to it
- Ditto most remixes of guitar classics, except in a lot of cases I hated the original anyway
- Richard D James' remix of Heroes: if the concept of "sacred" tracks weren't utterly flawed then Heroes would surely be one of them, but AFX's remix is a fucking masterpiece

alright, here's the tune I'm dropping.
VIDEO
I know that I have a week to fine tune it, but considering my competition I don't think I'll need that long.
And yes I am drunk, but i wouldn't give a fuck either way.
