@weedcali: This is so lovely and dark! I love the atmosphere it has. Maybe try adding a few white noise sweeps and those background melodic noise could come up a bit because it's sooooo nice!! How did you make that btw?!?!? -q-

@alphi:
This is pretty brutal.. I don't think the intro really compliments the drop. + the guitar is a little too eeiree for my liking. I have loads of other feedback for you but you ain't getting because you haven't given anyone feedback yourself! :6:

@ogunslinger:
This is hugeeee. You've got a really nice uk grime feel in the drums as certain points, and the sound effects are nice. ;) I think the vocal sample is a little too muffled, if you lowered it in volume but bought the treble up then it would give it some clarity but it's up to you! You might be going for that muffled sound. :W:

Here's mine, it's a bit like Datsik/Excision/Downlink.. but obviously way off in terms of quality and structure. Please tell me what you think!

THANKS!

You're an asshole! Haha sike honestly I don't know what to tell people in order to improve their sounds. I've been with reason for about a month now and everytime I sit down to work on some tracks im overwhelmed by new techniques. I'm still in my fetal stage, I think.

On another note, I really like what you were going for with initiate the drums were sounding pretty solid imo but I feel like your wobbles could be a tad beefier? maybe a slow sine wave outlining whatever chord progression you have playing throughout?? I'm not even sure if this is good feedback, fuck!

The guitar and wobbles contrast alot but that's what I had liked about it. One second you're on the beach with that crying guitar, then you're in a back alley somewhere in the raining UK gettin dirtyyy :n:

@DannyDubstep - kick and drums sounds juicy, intro is bit to long without progression and probably I'd finish it without usual 'speed up' as seconds before u have interesting things going on drums, bass subpar in comparision to drums - not in structure but in sound - needs more bass/sub definately - I am listening to whole piece without getting bored...it means thats good tune even if Iam not so keen on robostep overall - thumbs up man!

one of mines I stuck on the intro --- I want it to pray to motherfuckin' satan but not be too boring as it is now..any ideas? :)

Grok wrote:Kromakey: A bit of clipping going on I think but I can imagine this being really heavy on a system. Really like the synth/effect between the bass hits. I would prefer some more melodic elements but that's juts me. I know people like it minimal.
Psychomantis: Very good stuff I must say but you should really give feedback as per the forum rules before people will give more elaborate feedback! :)
mindcontrol: Interesting use of the sample but I do not think you should put the delay on it. It's enough to use as you do the first couple of times. Short but what's there is nice. I think I get the idea. Continue on it!
Mute-atioN: Haha, not sure but I really like it actually! Really random but inspiring! Listened a second time and it even grows on you. I need to check out your other stuff.

Here is a new piece I'm working on. SoundCloud put some strange artifacts in the bass, not sure why but they are not there in the mp3. Anyway, all feedback appreciated.

Much appreciated, i'm new to this forum but i will start posting my own comments for sure, thanks for the feedback

@ substep infrabass-rectal: too boring? Ur kidding right? Fuck man that's one sick tune. Really really sick. You sick fuck :6: .
I don't know, maybe bring in a dark atmo/pad like in the unstoppable? Sounds ready for a black mass dj set already imo.
Love your work man!

Thought i'd repost my wip

traffikz- bad ass track! twisted!! only thing i think u can improve is the kick its too much UMPF imo nice tune otherwise

astral - nice!!really liking the intro.. mid bass sounds maybe tad bit too loud tho..:?

substep infra- rough track! go abit easier on those rides tho ... to make more variation u need to bring other elements of sounds maybe some high pitched sounds.. or some really descreet background stuff going on or you could play around with the sounds of the bassline altering it from time to time

and thanks for all the feedback :) really glad someone else beside me cud actually dig my tune
havent worked much more on demon think its gotta have to be finished as it is

heres something i put together earlier just after a big blaze so cant really tell the difference right now between shit and good cause it all sounds like honey rite now

@Traffikz - quality track here man, feels like everything is in place, good to mix and listen and, clean production and I like the glitched kick...but track in the signature is bigger :) one of the basses is huge man

@astral - :) good tunes today - this one the same as previous - I dont see anything particular screwed up to mention, finish it mate

@necklewicked - technically I like it but thinking about structure,...i tried to write what I have in mind but its difficult after saturday's craziness :) how about turning off melody when entering the first drop, making this underneath synth a bass, and bringing melody again later on...

@metsu - I have difficulties to hear each sound properly, try to make it cleaner and definitely movie samples are louder than main body - comparing with a track from your sign it looks like u had one of those weaker production days/sessions - try to approach the track again

snippet I made yesterday as I couldnt finish the older tunes :)

@Substep Infrabass - Love the dissonant intro - Percussion is spot on and that bassline is something special!! Like the guitar stabs and industrial feel on this one! Good work mate.

@METSU - I quite like this one - only criticism I'd have is that maybe you should take the verb off of the kick drum as it makes it sound too far away in the mix - and I think the main sections could do with the high end brightening up a bit to stop the mix sounding too muddy - other than that this is some good work mate.

@Nacklewicket - This is pretty awesome to be fair - the only thing I'd say is that considering the laid back style you have going it would sound much better if you were to add a bit more swing to the percussion as it sounds a bit too quantized - if you're using Ableton or Reason then just use those awesome groove features, if not then just try chucking a few of the beats slightly off of the beat. Other than that this is some cool original stuff. nice work.

@Astral - Liking the vocal processing in this one - you've done a really good job on that - only thing I would say is that the mix doesn't really gel - there are really good ideas here bit you need to work a bit more on the mix - I think the bass could do with coming down a touch and maybe use a bit more processing - a little verb and chorus on the high end would really make it sit well in the track. As a rule of thumb I'd say have Vocals and Drums sitting loudest in the mix and then have the bass hitting just underneath both of those - that way the bass still feels loud and powerful but doesn't over power everything. Good work anyway mate.

@TRaffiks - Like the guitars on this one - did you record them yourself? been trying to get that dubby sound on my guitars but just can't do it - Everything is sounding pretty nice on this one - all really well balanced and gelling together quite nicely, those Pokemon samples are pretty nostalgic, reminded me of being like 8 and battling Pokemon cards -w- good work bro.

Here's my track - mates have been telling me to put some of my guitar playing on a dubstep tune for ages - so this is my attempt - still waiting for a mic to get the vocals done but thought I'd post it up see if anybody's feeling it

@ grayskale - dude nice vibe... your guitar playing is nice if i was to mix a summer day time chilling in the sun beer drinking dubstep mix id slap that baby on there.... it definitely works so keep doing what you do.
@ nacklewicket - haha i agree bro everything always sounds the honey after a mean blaze i always tell myself ok dont try and go changing shit when im high but can never resist... anyway you got the levels sitting pretty tight just work on the structure changing it up in differant places and it will turn into a sweet track.
@ metsu - you need to do abit of level adjusting imo the kick needs to be bought out abit more other than that with the right levels on everything i think it will sound shit hot.

heres something im working on let me know what you think...

@sniperdubb - really nice track man, no comments really

@grayskale - no comment either o_o beautiful stuff can't wait for vocals

@substep infrabass - don't think i've ever found anything i don't like in what you've made. <3 death metal

@metsu - has potential but terrible mixing job :P

@nacklewicket - actually love this song, this is the one time i might suggest something filthier somewhere in the song to contrast with the cleaner tone of it. i think it would sound more epic. beautiful percussion m8

@astral - not my style, hate katy perry and not a fan of the synth but the production is nice.

@traffikz - again not really my style not feelin the melody and the vocal sample could be eq'd better

still working on the vaski remix, here's the newest version

Hey all, this is my first post in the forum. Just started producing recently. Here are my reviews.

@ Traffikz: love the into man!! That pokemon video is a perfect intro. I love the reggae style stabs as well. Your bass is great as well. Overall you kicked ass with the pokemon song! :n:

@ substep: I like your tune even though I am not a huge fan of the industrial sounding bass in general. You manage to keep me interested and my eyes open to new things. Props…I like where youre going with it!

@ gonzodj: You might want to consider throwing in a couple more synths to keep the variation up. It it just lacking a mid-range melody. Otherwise keep it up.

Just something I started last week. Feedback appreciated.

djdopejack - stage 3 - wobbles sounding tight, im listening on shite headphones atm since my producing pc dosent have internet so cant comment on sub in mix... It flows nicely though, i think you got enough edits in there to keep it interesting, although you could change up how that filthy wobble sounds occasionaly. The beats heAvy.

phigure - incessant - nice donk, gd use of reverb in th intro. i dont feel the tune really progresses anywhere with a sense of direction. I know minimalism is what your going for here but it could do with another element. Also i dnt kno if sometimes your goin for a slightly out of time feel, but sometimes it sounds wrong.

marshy - slow down - its catchy, i agree the sub could get a tad annoying after a while, but its a roller thats for sure. If you can find a way to switch it up it'll b big. love the vocal sample btw.

\Mute-ation - jacks'n - this is wicked. really interesting, had me hooked from word go. Inspirational music, so far from formuaic...dnt kno what else to say really. gna checkout the rest of ur stuff.

Nacklewicket - i dnt kno if this is deliberate but the intro pads are out of key with the rest of the tune. I think it needs to have a better transition betweenmthe main section and the breakdown. apart from that its solid.

@astral -katy b - dnt know the orignial man, but your intros wicked, really builds up the tension well. as someone said before, it does feel a bit disjointed,, some work on fx shd sort that out tho... jus get your head down and get it done, shud be a phat tune once its finished.

@jetsam - dilema - guitar sounds absolutely sweet. nailed that. in fact, ive got abslutely nothing bad to say about the whole thing. cool track.

Mine is definitely not dubstep, bit jazzy, bit soul, give it a listen, feedbacks appreciated, starts off dead slow so give it a chance. Proper chill out track, blaze one to this!

Here's what I thought, not that it counts for much:

@Traffikz - Loved the melody - dark without being to 'serious'. Also that screaming synth in the mix is perfect for the tune, thought you made it dark AND fun... Somehow. The one SINGLE part I wasn't too keen on was the stabs later into the track. I didn't think it blended in too well. I'm not sure if it needs it.

@Marshy (Slow Down) - You know I love your stuff! Can see about the sub, but IMO it should be kept the way it is, would love to hear it on a big, big system. If it could get slightly more aggressive/switched up a bit - think it would be EVEN better. But I dunno, tunes don't always need that.

@Astral - Original is ok, prefer yours TBH. What has been said that it sounds a tad 'over' distorted, unless that was what you were after, but I think if it was toned down a little it would be an Epic tune. I also thought that the vocals could do with varying a little more? But once again, that could have been what you were after. Liked it a lot though.

@albo i really like the drums at the end, but i think the 'swing' groove is either too much or too little. too much if you're going for an off-beat vibe (which is what i suspect) or too little if you want a full on swing.

@rubicon i like the vibe. a little mid-heavy though, so maybe work some eq in there so it'll be less muddy-sounding.

@substep fuckin brutal and dark i love it. that quick delay sounds great on the drums and you manage to keep the sub too good work.
