Re: Bloc 2011
When I got the train down I just split the cost of a taxi from the station and I dont think it worked out at much more than a fiver. Turned out to be unlikely and letty too! Had spoken to unlikely about selling a spare bloc ticket I had about a week before, surreal lol
Oh, and luke! You can always come to the festival without a ticket, you can get into the chalets just not the music
And you never know someone might get a wristband they can slide off their wrist! Classic tactics...
And lastly, were heading off in an hour or two! All about getting down on the thursday, all day tomorrow in the pool, BO!

Re: Bloc 2011
I'm here already, waiting for the gates to open.
Re: Bloc 2011
This was absolutely immense. Was a bit annoyed that sbtrkt, joy.o and modeselektor clashed but other than that and te:bloc smelling like vomit it was amazing.
Have got a track stuck in my head from loefahs set possibly. It has the lyrics "walk/work with me" repeated over and over. Anyone got ideas what it is.

Re: Bloc 2011
Had a pretty enjoyable time. Pity no one came round to the pub, but still managed to meet up with the usual suspects! Gutted we got there on Friday only just in time to hear the end of Unlikely's set from the wristband exchange place. Some pics to come soon!

Kyle Hall, Loefah, Visionquest, Joy O, Ramadanman, Will Saul, Laurent Garnier, Moderat, Soul Clap, Four Tet, Dopplereffekt were my highlights (probly missing a few) didn't think Mala was all that to be honest..

Ahh fair play, I thought he was absoloutely on it. Much better than his 6th bday dmz set for me...but i guess he was playing off one deck for half of that! Probably the second best mala set ive ever seen (glade 2006/7 or whenever it wasa-sek wrote:Kyle Hall, Loefah, Visionquest, Joy O, Ramadanman, Will Saul, Laurent Garnier, Moderat, Soul Clap, Four Tet, Dopplereffekt were my highlights (probly missing a few) didn't think Mala was all that to be honest..
I ended up losing count on my list of amazing sets!
Boxcutter won the individual mix of the weekend for me. Dropping the Qawalli VIP over the intro of Glyphic? You cheeky boy you...
Absoloute favourite set for me though, was easily King Midas Sound. Pure quality. Everything I want out of music condensed into this hypnotic mess of sound. Was totally out of this world...

Re: Bloc 2011
Don't get me wrong I love his music, just he gets so much hype (within the scene) I was a little disappointed.
to be fair I really enjoyed the first half of his set up until the point he was playing the aggy stuff then left..
(gotta add Ben Klock and Matthew Dear to my list of highlights)
