I don't see it like that though, it's like they're misunderstanding what he's saying. He doesn't like that kind of dubstep.
It's different because there are two completely different sounds with the same name, like if everyone asked what music you liked, and you said folk, and for some reason they misinterpreted that as death metal, and you might absolutely hate death metal. It would become extremely irksome.
This is so much trickier though because it's not folk v. death metal it's dubstep v. dubstep.

its difficult to be (properly) into any kind of music and not get a bit izan about it. everyones guilty of being arrogant about it at times. i know i am. however, i'll admit that i like dubstep every time. though i'll probably justify it with a "but not that saw tooth, chainsaw shit!".

Funny this popped up actually..t'other day at a curry house the waiter tried to mug me off (well, did) when taking my order and saying "sorry we don't sell fish and chips har har har"...and the guy opposite me after said.."ha he probably knows you like dubstep..want a Stella with that? hahah" - I didn't know what that meant...so carried on with life.
Edit: Is that you in the vid? Apologies if feelings were hurt.
could someone tell me whats the deal with stella artois and dubstep?
I'd say so, got friends who haven't seen me in a few years, meet up and every single one of them are like, you lost a shit load of weight, is it all the drugs you take at these dubstep things?
I've only ever had one or two people say anything to me about it - both were something along the lines off "Blah blah blah.. You take Ketamine at dubstep events don't you?" lol, other than that nobody has ever really said anything.
I play in a death metal band, so i gots my fill of stereotypes right there. People are baffled when they find out about my obsession with electronic music.
The thing that irritates me is when people say "i listen to everything" then you say "any metal" and they're all "hell no...i dont dig on those screamers". Most people dont know what they like, or they dont understand why, and its my objective to find out as much about as many genres as humanly possible.
Dubstep is awesome, but I dont consider the dubstep stereotype to be stoners...to me dubsteppers fall into 2 broad categories...the heads and the ravers, and I am aware that these lines are barely existant, but stoner is not what I consider to be a staple of dubstep fandom.

lol who is this dude? he has got the least amount of emotion ever!
Some guy from Shoreditch it would seem. Just had to post a video to prove to the world how cool he is.
but arnt people doing the exact same thing on here? we all stereotype regardless of whether you admit it or not its a natural thing people do, I personally try not to do it but I catch myself moaning about chavvy stnuc all the time and how they dress or act, its not right though when people associate a genre of music especially a genre which holds such diversity with people who do drugs or how they dress, as 'dubstep' attracts people from all ends of the spectrum regardless of how they dress or act, so we should try and lose the attitude of judging people and start listening to some music again
You've clearly never been to Shoreditch, or you'd know what I meant...

Na it aint me man I wouldn't wear such scandalous glasses lol, Yeah iv been to Shoreditch but the point Im making is that people always stereotype, and the 'dubstep' heads are one of the worst ! Stereotyping is natural as you naturally judge people before you have even spoke to them, but some people take a bit too far by trying to doing it openly which I find small minded by trying to make jokes about what music people listen or what clothes they wear(Which i have done in this post lol)
