When someone makes a thread that's full of great quotes, even if unintentionally, you still cant figure out if they are being serious or just an absolute twat. I'm just waiting for the moment where you say, ahh just kidding blud, I'm just pulling your tit!

Anyways, not to go OT but:

1. To get stuff louder stop yourself from peaking. 0 dB is the max in digital environments. Don't try to push it at high.
2. To stop peaking, visual EQ everything so that you tale out all the frequencies except the ones you want to hear. Which are apparently the high frequencies. They interfere with each other.
3. To stop peaking (part 2) use a compressor. From what i gather a maximized is a type of saturable/limiter.
4. To stop sounding generic use massive creatively. Don't just set LFO to filter and wavetable.
5. To stop sounding 90 percent mentally handicapped have at least a basic understanding of music before you start making laughable assumptions.
6. To get the drive to learn your tools effectively maybe buy them so you have some investment/feel guilty if you don't learn them. I can guarantee that at least half of e people on here using a massive/FL combo have pirated it.
7. Use MOTU. Crazy shit! I use Logic, but most of my stuff isn't dubstep anyways so that makes it ok.

I could go on, but i don't want to de-rail the argument on the linguistics of the word retarded.

I've been arguing for the sake of arguing for the last 3 pages...
I already do 1-6. I don't feel guilty about stealing software...
Also, as far as using Massive creatively, I already do that. For example, if you automate the room size nob in the reverb effect you get this sweet sand papery rhythm.

In this song I used different LFO speeds and wave types to make an androgynous robotic choir... Not that that hasn't been done but I did something pretty nifty with it that I assume is at least a little creative.
