I say I like dubstep. None of my friends really like it, except one girl (i like as well haha), my girlfriend likes some, mostly flux pavilion, which I like, but I prefer the older stuff, deeper stuff which she finds depressing -.-

the dubstep scene is fucking embarrasing. people are like to me 'i love dubstep, what do you have on your ipod?" i'll say, mala "oh nah" skream "mmmm he's okaaaay", if I say i have flux pavilion "OH YEAH HES THE MAN"

-.-

I had two teenies in my work yesterday that picked up the plastician rinse cd, one turned to the other and said 'shit look its skream!' To which the other replied 'how do you know?' And in turn the first kid exclaimed 'dont be such a retard, look he's white and its a rinse cd which is skreams radio station he made, its all illegal and shit cause he's a badman that doesn't answer to anyone'. I had to leave the shop floor because of how angry those two stupid kids made me feel, Dubstep has become a fashion thing just like emo did and nu-rave and metalcore and indie etc etc.

Good thing about not being a child is you don't really give a fuck what your peers think about your taste in one thing or another, and they similarly have the same feelings back. Seriously why would anyone give a fuck about what some children who use the words 'retard' and 'gay' to degrade something think? They're children ffs.

Exactly, anyone who still goes on like that is a fucking child - age is irrelevant.

I like being obnoxious about it. When people ask what I DJ, I say, "Dubstep, but it's not the Dubstep you're into".

I go to uni in Southampton. You'll think I'm fully justified if you just came to one night out, just one and I promise you that you'll want to never leave your room again.

^^ Went to a club called (I think) Rhino down there. Wasn't a bad night. This was a few years ago so maybe all the students there now aren't 'heads'.

It's now called Audio and it's the only club in Soton that actually has decent nights with urban music.

Southampton in a nutshell is very cheap alcohol and cheese music, or anything the kids can singalong to.

I try best to avoid having a conversation with someone about music in general. Most people think the music I listen to is either shite or weird if it doesn't have a 4/4 beat and a catchy sing along chorus.
