Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
How do you use audio files in patcher? My sub bass is an audio file, and i want to be able to throw in with my midranges..but I cant seem to figure out how to get audio into patcher.
Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
choose a vst to put it, but instead of a vst, click sampler...thats just my guess since I dont have fl 10 yetFuhNetIk wrote:How do you use audio files in patcher? Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
^ you know, I saw that open candy in the installer previously. I just clicked no, but from what I'm reading over at that thread, the adware is already being installed before you have an opportunity to click no. I don't know if that is true or not. I will not be installing 10 until I can figure out if IL is installing adware along with their product. I just don't get down with that.
Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
From what I've heard it basically records the VSTs you use and is supposed to make suggestions on software that you might be interested in. However, windows defender picked it up right away and removed it before the install.
Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
It analyzes all of your software, from what I've read, not just music making software. Someone in the IL thread said that the OC installer was attempting to install some smiley shit that is actually malware. Again, I don't know if this is true.
The statement from OC about windows defender is jokes, too.
So if I'm running windows defender, and it is blocking open candy, can I even use the installer at all?

Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
I love a new FL. Legendary, I think most of those new workflow/gui you won't notice them before long. Like when I made the shift to tracks instead of blocks in the playlist, for the first couple of weeks I didn't like it at all, but now I can't imagine not having them anymore.

My windows defender completely removed Opencandy and didn't prevent me from installing FL.nowaysj wrote:It analyzes all of your software, from what I've read, not just music making software. Awesome, thank you.
Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
route audio to a mixer track, put patcher in that track as insert.FuhNetIk wrote:How do you use audio files in patcher? My sub bass is an audio file, and i want to be able to throw in with my midranges..but I cant seem to figure out how to get audio into patcher.
Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
Excuse if this was covered, but is apdc happening within patcher??
Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
F'ing Brisance sighting as well... This is shaping up to look like the last decade.
Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
Nope in mixer option theres a pdc tab and you just select auto, and what a relief that is!nowaysj wrote:Excuse if this was covered, but is apdc happening within patcher??
with this i will be able to work only in FL instead of having to stem mix it in nuendo, if i wanna use uad.

Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
I watched the video a couple of days ago and I got to say - I'm pretty impressed by some of it's features! FL heads should indeed be pretty happy!
Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
Okay, to confirm that, there is no plugin delay compensation within patcher? I'm not referring to the mixer's apdc.trike12 wrote:Nope in mixer option theres a pdc tab and you just select auto, and what a relief that is!nowaysj wrote:Excuse if this was covered, but is apdc happening within patcher??

Are you happy about the auto PDC nowaysj? that used to be your pet bugbear about FL. You'll have nothing to complain about!nowaysj wrote:Okay, to confirm that, there is no plugin delay compensation within patcher? Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
Not TRUE! I had two!!!
1. auto apdc
2. ability to zoom into sample level accuracy in the playlist!
Early on in 9 I tried the betas, you might recall, after that though, I stayed with 9.1, and haven't used the apdc. I've just been using zero latency plugs and dealing with those limitations. But I can't wait to get a real 10 going. This release fixes so many little workflow things that were bugging the f out of me. Though I'm afraid it may have introduced more weird kinks. Was very happy with zooming functions. I'm constantly zooming in and out, if you watched me in high speed, it'd look like the play list was bouncing, up/down up/down.
I can't wait to get the apdc because I have a couple of plugs I'd love to be able to mix with that are latent. It's been a long time coming.
NOW in terms of that sample accurate zoom in the playlist...
