This is because "he wants to legalize drugs".
wow how extremely pessimistic... i find that this forum tends to pick apart a topic and immediatley attempts to label it as a cliche.
How was what I said pessimistic? Or were you referring to deadly habit?
either way we're on point with the general college age/hs senior vote
the average 18-to say early 20s generally pay no mind to political issues unless something like that comes up (that and the "indie" factor)

that question i asked earlier in the thread about agencies being lobbied i got the answer to at the end of work tonight as a yes
so it turns out the cause i'm fighting for is actively being lobbied against by energy companies with deep pockets

it really disturbs me that the people that are super rich (billionaires) are still so greedy and clamor for power/control.
if i had a billion dollars, i'd be all over the world helping out everyone i could, not trying to get even more money.
i mean.... a
billion dollars (even if US$ is shit right now, that's a hell of a lot of money) ... that's more than enough to live well and make a whole bunch of people have happier existences

I'm going to keep saying this cause it just fries my brain every time I think about it. The top 400 wealthiest individuals in this country own more personal wealth than the bottom 125,000,000... just completely untenable.

it's because you're simply a better person than them. if only all the rich people were like you.

An average bottom 125,000,000 American has 0.00032 of a PERCENT the wealth of the average top 400. Those are rebellion/civil war type ratios, bro.
Have you anglos really thought about what the wholesale collapse of the US power structure would look like? Never mind economically, assume a gradual enough withdrawal from the US economy, but just in terms of weaponry. Think it would look like the Soviet collapse? Is that best case scenario?

That's precisely what we need. So much of our budget is spent on unnecessary defense spending to develop armies and technology that we ultimately end up just handing over to countries like Israel and Saudi Arabia so we can play god in the middle east.
Also, does anyone agree that the national debt is just a superficial score card? I don't see it as terribly alarming we've raised the ceiling. Any business man will tell you you have to spend money to make money. Unless we cut the defense budget, that is...

uhhhh no im in my early 20s and the fact he wants to 'legalize' drugs didnt get me interested in his politics...
concerning the drugs debate what I like is that he assumes not everyone is a retard who will consume heroin the next day because the govnerment says its midly acceptable -_-

Not really. Bubbles like that wouldn't be able to exist in a free market capitalist system.
I'm fine with someone being anti-capitalism, but using anything the current system as an example why 'free markets don't work' is like using the Soviet Union as an example why communism doesn't work. Free markets have never existed.
