i'm madly disappointed by some of the comments in this thread.

There are loads of women into this sound now but they tend to stay away from forums and the like (i don't blame them when considering the amount of photos of naked ladies there are floating around).

It takes quite a lot effort to discover underground music sometimes... tuning in your stereo to some obscure frequency, going online, downloading, going into male dominated basement record shops- I'm not surprised that a lot of women can't be arsed with it or that it takes longer for women to find out about.

I love this sound but seriously, it aint the be all and end all of the world- if your partner aint into it... big fukkin deal. Who cares? Shock, horror, there's more to life then dubstep.

(Oh and you really don't need to smoke to enjoy bass.)

My final note- Fwd>> and Tempa: run by a woman. (big up Soulja)

I think dubstep is complicated for "ordinary" people. The scene is really small in Sweden and I have noticed that some people just don't know how to behave or react when they hear dubstep since it's not the usual 4/4 beat like in other dancemusic. I find people in the dnb scene more open to it, I've converted quite a few dnb heads

I was very suprised at DMZ in march, I thought it was quite a lot of ladies there. Huge minority over here... But I'm used to fight alone, so I do my best to wake people up :)

Cheers to you ms. g. I can speak for the rest of the mod's in saying that we're going to do our best to save this place from the hot pics and playboy centerfold cesspool that's found on other forums.

If you or any of the other ladies took offense at this thread, it wasn't intended on my part. 8)

Agreed. Plenty of other forums where you can swap smutty pix - might be an idea to make dubstepforum a bit easier for women to visit...

Bump for the ladies.

And for the record, I read any sexism in this thread as thoroughly tongue in cheek.
