seriously though, chinos are better than jeans, when it rains jeans stay wet for longer, they're heavier, get hotter when it's hot and colder when it's cold. The only other reason you would wear jeans is because of the way they look which makes you as bad as the hipsters you take the piss out of

The reason I wont wear chinos/checked shirts/etc is because I was wearing them in the 90's and I refuse to buy into the cyclical nature of 'fashion'. If you're young enough for this to be your first time around with that kind of fashion, fair enough, but i'll be damned if i'll buy that shit twice.
'Hipsters' can do what they like, it's just they seem to purposely set out to look like the biggest twat possible - like they're trying to out-twat each other.
Also, jeans are timeless.

i used you as in plural for the anti anything but jean hype in this thread. And ye fair play this is the first time i've seen chinos. And ye on the out twat each other thing, go into the Topman in Brighton and look at the staff and it's actually pretty funny as their chinos get further rolled up and their shoes get smaller and jumpers get baggier over time.

But I stand by chinos, I just find them better all round than jeans and they come in more colours so I can show off my edgy unique side
