South Coast, same site as where Glade used to be, Mattersley bowl or something.
That's just in two of the tiny tents (like...70 capacity) at Boomtown Fair, most hectic fest in the country, it's quite something.

Re: breakcore/noise/other
Been to one festival once, hated every second of it and swore i would never go back to one, but fuck - if i could get a day pass to an event like that i would definitely go. Krumble, Panacea, Krinjah, Drumcorps, Audio, Robyn Chaos, Bkey, Parasite, Rowland, Stivs and fucking Ed Cox all in one place... too much...
Re: breakcore/noise/other

^ Apart from the Outside Agency, which i didn't feel too much, i have never heard this "crossbreed" stuff before. It's just hardstyle plus dnb, right? Post some more good ones...

Most of the crossbreed stuff has really picked up over the past few years, look at the audiosickness website to get an idea. Kinda comes natural i guess, you got gabba tracks easily mixing into hard dnb the same way house can mix into techno. Not sure if there were producers doing it long before, but my first exposure was def TOA and the stuff on Genosha.
Re: breakcore/noise/other
The PRSPCT and Smackdown parties are a big reason we have crossbreed too, I think. They'd book shit like Limewax and Current Value and the DJ Producer and Bryan Fury so hard dnb and hardcore fans kinda grew into being the same thing.
This also kinda counts as crossbreed I'd say.
I listened to these mixes again the other day so...
Both from Mark N (member of Nasenbluten, founder of Bloody Fist, DMC world champion, etc)
Killing Sheep mix from 2010 with drum n bass and crossbreed..
1. Donny / Amputation (Original Version) [KSHEEPV008]
2. DJ Hidden / Empty Streets Revisited [KSHEEPV009]
3. Facs / Demon Eyes [KSHEEPV010]
4. The Outside Agency / The Solution [KSHEEPV011]
5. DJ Hidden / Times Like These VIP [KSHEEPV009]
Breakcore, hardcore, drum & bass...
1. Christoph De Babalon - Overhead (Restroom Records)
2. Razor Point - We All Mean Harm (Nasdia)
3. Deathmachine - They Hunt Us (Genosha One Seven Five)
4. Current Value - Polar Position (Subsistenz)
5. Counterstrike & Forbidden Society -- Extreme (Current Value Remix) (Forbidden Society)
6. Skratchy Seal -- Super Seal In 3D (Dirt Style)
7. I:gor - Lost Control (Strike Records)
8. Noisekick -- Stand Back (Head Fuck Records)
9. DJ Hellfish - Boost The Dose (Deathchant)
10. Public Enemy - Night Of The Living Baseheads (Def Jam / CBS)
This also kinda counts as crossbreed I'd say.

Re: breakcore/noise/other
^Jesus, that Mark N guy you posted has some serious skills, is that you? If it is, then huge ups!
Re: breakcore/noise/other
I wish, but naw. As I said, he was a co-founder of Nasenbluten and started Bloody Fist in the mid '90s, which was a really important label to like.. underground hardcore and breakcore (all the early Venetian Snares stuff is basically just a more.. chaotic take on Bloody Fist). And yeaaah, he's a DMC champion too. Mad skills on the wheels. Selection, mixing, turntablism.. dude can do it all. And not just 'good for a hardcore DJ', he's really up there with the greats in hip-hop.idontreallygiveashit wrote:^Jesus, that Mark N guy you posted has some serious skills, is that you? Im so glad we've started including this stuff now, absolute classic:
Re: breakcore/noise/other
Would love if someone could direct me/send me some of Floorclearer's early EPs and mixes, seem almost non-existent online.
Malicious is obscene.
