Been to one festival once, hated every second of it and swore i would never go back to one, but fuck - if i could get a day pass to an event like that i would definitely go. Krumble, Panacea, Krinjah, Drumcorps, Audio, Robyn Chaos, Bkey, Parasite, Rowland, Stivs and fucking Ed Cox all in one place... too much...
^ Apart from the Outside Agency, which i didn't feel too much, i have never heard this "crossbreed" stuff before. It's just hardstyle plus dnb, right? Post some more good ones...

Most of the crossbreed stuff has really picked up over the past few years, look at the audiosickness website to get an idea. Kinda comes natural i guess, you got gabba tracks easily mixing into hard dnb the same way house can mix into techno. Not sure if there were producers doing it long before, but my first exposure was def TOA and the stuff on Genosha.
The PRSPCT and Smackdown parties are a big reason we have crossbreed too, I think. They'd book shit like Limewax and Current Value and the DJ Producer and Bryan Fury so hard dnb and hardcore fans kinda grew into being the same thing.
This also kinda counts as crossbreed I'd say.
I listened to these mixes again the other day so...
Both from Mark N (member of Nasenbluten, founder of Bloody Fist, DMC world champion, etc)

I wish, but naw. As I said, he was a co-founder of Nasenbluten and started Bloody Fist in the mid '90s, which was a really important label to like.. underground hardcore and breakcore (all the early Venetian Snares stuff is basically just a more.. chaotic take on Bloody Fist). And yeaaah, he's a DMC champion too. Mad skills on the wheels. Selection, mixing, turntablism.. dude can do it all. And not just 'good for a hardcore DJ', he's really up there with the greats in hip-hop.
