dr luke is a beast. max martin, too - that dude is a tune machine and has been making top 10 singles for like 15 straight years. i've got mad respect for good pop music. it's deceptively simple; doing it well is tough.

on any given day i don't usually find much in the top 40 that i love, but over the course of a year there are always some really good standouts from the pop field. i haven't heard her latest album but i think kelly clarkson has a hell of a voice. also +1 to nicki minaj as "super bass" is the business.

not really a fan of taylor swift tho

They did covers of Adele, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and more. Vocals are out of this world and they're so fucking tight!

I don't know, that recent Bad Meets Evil album was pretty awesome imo.

I personally stopped following rap a long time ago. But I still check in on a few of my favorites from back in the day.

I'm also excited to hear about a possible new Wu-Tang album coming out this year. Hopefully that happens.

eminem was dope on recovery & bad meets evil. really good message too.

I'd rather listen to that all day than how some of these fools just pimp hoes and make it rain lmao

right? people think the charts are populated by all these different people, but no, it's just max and luke...
granted they do put out some trash. like that kesha song that seemed to be about being in high school sniffing large amounts of cocaine.
but martin in particular has moments of pure genius. where you're listening and it grabs you and you don't even care that it sucks.
