Some users (myself included) have believed for a while now that there was a serious case of fradulent voting taking place...maybe the change in voting system has 'scared' off the cheats into not entering due to their tracks not being successful on merit alone.JBE wrote:The moment you switched to a post voting system not only did the number of entries drop but so did the votes... I'm sure that has something to do with a few lost entries, but for awhile we were getting like 10-14 entries every month. Sometimes more. I'd hate to think that that many people were fraudulently voting.wub wrote:Some users (myself included) have believed for a while now that there was a serious case of fradulent voting taking place...maybe the change in voting system has 'scared' off the cheats into not entering due to their tracks not being successful on merit alone.JBE wrote:The moment you switched to a post voting system not only did the number of entries drop but so did the votes... Purely a theory, not pointing fingers etc etc...but contrast it with the Sample Pack contest this month where we have had only 4 entries and no examples of rampant voting despite the 'old' system...which would narrow down the field of selection given whose entered that vs. who hasn't entered this.
If you get me
It's worth a try, will do next month.JBE wrote:You could always try going back to the poll system and see if it jumps back up. If it does then there's some reason why no one wants to participate on a post voting system.

Lets make a poll for whether we sould use a poll or notehbrums1 wrote:The poll allows for voter fraud tho.. I'd rather have 10 legitimate voters than 40 voters who are actually just people making a bunch of accounts

Thanks man, I appreciate that. I definitely need to do better mixing on it at some point. I'm hearing a lot of distortion and clipping on it that I don't like.jrisreal wrote:JBE, that tune is amazing! Good job!
I guess I'll have to try and step things up a bit more next month.Electric_Head wrote:I'll have to step in next time to prevent the 3-fer.

Hasn't all 3 comps on here been pretty low on entries recently? Also i will freely admit i voted for my own tracks in both comps apart from when i was up against tunes i thought were better(outdropts)In the end if your tunes better and you prefer it then why not?JBE wrote:The moment you switched to a post voting system not only did the number of entries drop but so did the votes... Now i just want to state the only reason i haven't entered in the last 2 is the first i was working a remix for a lady i wanted really to focus on and this one if i'm honest i have lost inspiration for some reason.I haven't touched my daw for best part of 3 weeks, started with an ear ache and now it is branching into fuck all motivation to do anything musical.wub wrote:
