Korrupt's review of ioqe's 'Something Has Changed':
"Some amazingly layered pads arise slowly from the depths of the mix, radiating energy and causing goosebumps to set in immediately. The background samples are splendid; the crackles in the background for example give the track an organic and raw feel. It's a great way of Ioqe building up towards the first drop – even more so by the use of the intense piano keys with the low-end flowing with a precious pace.
"The drop is immense, all elements flow freely around the solid basis. A kick and snare work perfectly together, both hitting hard leaving a serious impression on the listener. The minimal approach on the percussion is flawless, one of Ioqe’s signatures. The change in sound is an subtle move; from emotional to haunting dark soundscapes that take over the mind easily. Sharp-edged drum patterns also enhance the impact of the tune significantly.
"The delayed hits in the background are very hypnotising and continue to transform, giving the tune much more character than it had to start with. After the switch-up in drum patterns, the vibe changes again giving the listener something to chew on. Ultimately, Ioqe succeeds yet again with another of his forward-thinking productions... Ioqe is a very underrated producer you all should be keeping an eye on in 2013!"
