i've had a pair of those ones and i prefer these alpines tbh. they're smaller so i feel much less self-conscious wearing them

couldnt actually recommend earplugs any more...

Way i look at it is this, if its a proper dubstep night, you just shouldnt be able to stand next to the stacks comfortably. And not cos the mids and tops are ruining your hearing for days, but because the bass causes that weird tickling feeling that makes (me at least) look up and right lol combine those rigs with earplugs, and youre standing right next to a stack, having the closest thing to an enema you can get without a funnel, while being able to hear everything better. Its all about the physical pressure! Remember once at a dmz (possibly 3rd or 4th birthday?) the place being absoloutely fucking rammed, yet i had a good amount of space around me next to the stack. Had two guys come up and ask how i could stand right next to the stack. Pulled back me locks to reveal earplugs for them to have this look of "ohhhhhhhhh, thats why!" on their face. Best way to be!

And @ gwa, im not far off that! Always used to wear my plugs hoovering in my old house. The thing was way too loud lol

A good System won't hurt your ears :) I recommend the RC1 http://www.facebook.com/RC1.Sound.System

Wont hurt but itll still lead to tinnitus! Still, much better. Dont lose the every day frequencies!
