Actually really impressed with the track he's been making the past half hour, the intro lead is great.

lol well he's not sittin around a forum talkin about us.

Anyone who doesn't listen to a genre of music is gonna think it all sounds the same.

But in the land of "bro" I'd say he has, not a distinguished sound, but the way that sound, sounds. How small the synths are yet sound big because of this super wide noise going on.

Just got off like 2 min ago..
He said he would do another soon!
So hopefully he sticks to his word!
I'm sure someone will upload the stream to youtube soon!
Sweet, will have to try hunt that down. regardless of all the arguing in this thread. The man sure knows how to put a tune together and get people moving. I'm sure people could learn a lot of transferable information from him if they could look past their inferiority complex :6:

Yeh, tbh I've always been critical of him. But the way he pieced together that intro live on the stream was impressive.

Also really bummed I missed this. I think he's had a lot of requests for it because I saw him posting on Facebook asking if someone recorded it. I'll let you guys know if I see it somewhere for sure.

Sorry for the double post but I found this. Is this the stream you people are talking about? There are four other parts to it as well, but he's previewing a couple tracks here, not really going through the production though.

Cant watch them all cause I'm at work atm. That electro track is pretty dope IMO.

Okay, so I'm bumping this again since I knew a lot of people were interested. He starts working on the new track intro ya'all were talking about in the first vid and then keeps going in the next. Towards the end of the last part she shows of a couple new unfinished tracks, lots of cool stuff here. He doesn't really explain what's going on but it's still pretty cool.

yeah I watched all 5, really interesting stuff. It's seems almost magic when he basically noodled around on the keyboard and SUDDENLY it was a quantized, automated, filtered, melodically reposing intro motif. Like WTF. It's smacked me hard about how much I don't do when I should be. re: pre set up filters, recording quantized and generally just having things routed to a given workflow. You can tell from his speed and ease of getting ideas out that he's got everything half done already and he just spits ideas out. I reckon this is one of my biggest barriers.

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA good jokes. Wait this is jokes, right? :o

His music is the epitome of pop in the "dubstep" niche.
The whole idea behind his music is to rinse out a sound that became vastly popular so he can make money/get views/profit. It's obviously not about being an original artist, or he would have made his style and bass lines more unique.

Me just don't understand...
Would you rather be recognized as having influenced other artists because of your distinction, or would you rather be recognized as a mime?

I guess people do get gigs as Michael Jackson impersonators, though... go figure.
this pretty much

people can do what they want, just dont claim zomboy doesnt sound exactly like skrillex/every other bro producer.
please.
People can do what they want, they just can't disagree with me!

Just heard a percussion loop in City 2 City that I also have used in a track before. It's true what he said, he doesn't use vengeance anymore. :P

He obviously has a lot of mixer channel states saved, like with his piano someone asked "what piano VST is that", he said he though it was "just some stock one" with loads of EQ & compression etc... which he must have had previously set up. Same with his synth (I think he mentioned the leads were Sylenth and the pad was Absynth?) presets, he kind of just banged out the notes and arrangement, never did any synth work. I don't have any problems with this, in fact I reuse saved mixer state myself for stuff like guitars, pianos, strings etc because you can always kind of process them the same, I just didn't like how evasive he was with some stuff - specifically when people asked about the Sylenth patch details.

Having watched some of the videos again I can't help thinking that he may have actually sort of set up a demo file, planned out some sounds, samples and rough melodies beforehand - then played it all live (on the stream) and built the arrangement. It just all seemed to come together a little too quickly without him spending much time on any synthesis or effects. The drums at the drop particularly brought this to my attention, at one point he has a some hats, then a 4x4 kick loop, then pretty much the next time he plays it in full it's been all arranged nicely for a build and he has a full dnb drum loop at the drop with up/down swooshes and the vocal sample.
