everything you hear that is new to you is obviously gonne be exciting, but expecting an artist, or group of artists within a genre, to produce mind bendingly new material to quench your thirst for the next new sound is a little unrealistic to be perfectly honest. New sounds are awesome, but I don't expect to hear them everyday. This coming from an avid lover of all kinds of music. At the end of the day, I just like a well constructed song, regardless of genre, but hey thats just me.
Imma give a listen to all the posts, thanks should keep me busy for a while! I'm not hating on dubstep obviously I love it, just not the new new (yet). I'm probably just buggin out cause it's exam time and I've got comprehensive exams for my major after christmas break.hasezwei wrote:^^^ see thats why we dont listen to dubstep anymore
to whoever said "you're only new once", true dat and the sad thing is that a lot of the classics i used to love aren't any good songwriting-wise so now that the novelty has worn off the only thing keeping me listening to them from time to time is nostalgia.
what people should do instead of jumping on to the next hype is saying to themselves "okay, the novelty is gone, the sonic niche has been carved and explored, now let's get serious" and start writing proper tunes you can listen to from start to finish, that are engaging, have a vibe and would make a proper musician nod in approval.
Anyway I forgot why I made this thread in the first place, cause BORGORE RUINED DUBSTEP!
