Really agree with this. I think the most important thing is that the type of synthesis and the workflow makes sense to you. The characteristic sound of the synth isnt as important as how you go about designing sounds with it. If you like the way you have to work within the synth you'll end up learning its ins-and-outs a lot faster and you'll be more inspired by it when designing sounds. That knowledge and inspiration will make a lot more difference in your music than using multiple synths will.shinra wrote:for me it's less about the synth and more about the approach you take to shaping your sound.

Spend some time using both of them and figure out which one you like the best. Then dedicate some time to using only that synth, you'll learn it a lot better and faster if its the only one you are focusing on. After a while start focusing on the second one and if at any point either of them become a headache to use, ditch it. There are so many good synths out there that there is literally no reason to use one that you don't find fun to design sounds in.
