Re: Sulky, sweet indie emo :'0
new track from their split with sunny day real estate
Re: Sulky, sweet indie emo :'0
i used to be into hardcore but never got in to stuff like this even though my friends were very much into p99, orchid etc
i'd really like to make a trap beat with a clean guitar arpeggio or something from an emo trak. can anyone post something that has some easily samplable plain guitars in the beginning or something?

As much as I don't ever want to hear it mixed with a trap beat, off the top of my head, your best bet is something on American Football's self titled album.topmo3 wrote:i used to be into hardcore but never got in to stuff like this even though my friends were very much into p99, orchid etc

Oh shit yeah, probs should've mentioned they use the weirdest time signatures going.
Erm, maybe try Empire! Empire! (I Was A Lonely Estate)'s album What It Takes To Move Forward, Mineral's album EndSerenading or Owen's first self-titled album.

Not really emo in the sense of the general tone of this thread but I dunno where else to post it. Dude I know who puts on gigs near where I live has a kind of post-hardcore sort of a band that are pretty decent and they've just put out a record. http://screenwives.bandcamp.com/

Got tickets to see American Football in Leeds next year.

Which do you like the most American Football or American Football?
Re: Sulky, sweet indie emo :'0
American Football, I think. It's really hard hitting and can get quite emotional.

never spent much time with Cap'n Jazz tbh, I need to get into them
