I don't know what you mean by 4x4?

I meant kick on 1, 2, 3 and 4 of each bar.
4/4 does not require a kick on all 4 beats. It doesn't require a kick on any beat! It just means 4 beats in a measure (the first "4" in 4/4) and a quarter note gets one beat (the second "4").

Nothing to do with kicks.

Charles1 - I may one day take you seriously, once you stop posting stupid threads saying to boost your master at 250hz.

Anyhow, thanks for sharing your rudimentary knowledge on time signatures, however you have missed the point - Hircine said 4x4 isn't 4/4, which was what I was querying. I had said about a 4/4 kick pattern which he had corrected with 4x4 - I suggest you learn to read an entire post in context before offering your "wisdom" in future.

I could have said a simple house kick pattern, it wasn't hard to grasp.

You need to relax man. Nothing in my post was offensive. I didn't even notice that I had quoted you. I didn't look at the user name. I was just clarifying what 4/4 meant because multiple people had posted about it and nobody gave the actual definition. Your post happened to be the last one talking about it. Learn to stop taking everything personally.

I haven't taken anything personally, nor did I say your post was offensive - I don't understand why you think I said that?

All I said was that you've read a post out of context and tried to answer what someone else meant when I asked them to clarify what they were correcting me on.

I would like a mass tune brawl in a thread.Like a bar fight but beats and bass instead of stalls and glasses.

Like I said, I'm not insulted. Although I did find your explanation added nothing tbh, but I'm sure someone who hasn't got past chapter 1 in a music theory book will find it useful. :W:

It makes me laugh that you'd get so upset over this post - you may find that your emotions calm down once you've gone through puberty. I know it can be tough when you get spots all over your face and nice girls won't speak to you, but no need to take it out on me.

When you're satisfied and you've used all the techniques that you know that can be applied to the track.

Then when you can listen to it about 10 times without getting bored (over a couple weeks and nothing sounds off)

That's usually when I stop.

edit: Oh and when it sounds good on practically every system (commercialized)
