I think GWA is being a bit too sensitive about the whole fashion thing, which is only a small facet of the awkwardness of a boiler room experience. And I stand my ground on there being a difference in expressing yourself through fashion (though someone should explain to me how expressing yourself through fashion BY Following trends exactly works?) and forcing that onto others, regardless of what intention the person had when doing so.

And most of these people still look like utter buffoons.
Check, probably with Mexter & Cotrell if you know them, tall guy come say hi :h:

seems like no one understands how boilerroom even works. it's not a show you can buy tickets and go to, it's INVITE ONLY, meaning only friends of those putting it on or dj's friends will be there. so it's not just people going there to enjoy music. it's guest list only. only very important super special amazing people will attend (sarcasm). if you go to an average rave and put a camera on the dancefloor it would be different. but BR people are not there to have a good time and release their daily struggles thru dance. they're there because they're on a VIP list

this thread seems to be more about hating on clothes, which is some petty highschool shit mentality. cmon son

also more unnecessary american-bashing. as far back as i can remember EVERYONE in boilerrooms looks fucking awkward and stuffy. uk, berlin, nyc , la. all of them really. get over yourselves

Stop crying.

The clothes part is a bit of a joke. And LA Boiler Room is pants. Put two and two together add a little salt and you get some generalisations and mockery that shouldn't be taken too seriously.
But thanks for clearing some stuff up. Good to know these VIPs can go to private rave parties all week.

Haha, innit? I guess it's fair given that it's not really a rave, but watching a BR video makes my skin crawl. The whole impression is so smug and vain. It feels like a scene from American Psycho or something. It's the opposite of what this music (IMHO) is about.
