My perceptions of what fat people are depends a lot on their age. If they're 45+ and fat, then fair enough. If they're under 30 and fat then barring any metabolic diseases I would probably perceive them as being physically lazier as well as being over-indulgent in what they eat or have little to no self-control over what they eat. If they're under 12 and fat, then they're fucking lazy and eat too much.

When those people attempt to lose weight, they do it the way I outlined, fail and think they just can't.

Everyone stuffs themselves with fast food and snacks. You'd be surprised how little some fat people actually eat.

And there were days where I'd eat mad fast food twice per week. Like full on binging, while still losing weight. I just made it fit my macros.

Pretty much agree with all that, including the fast food chomping bit.

Much as I tend not to watch tv programmes on diet/food, happened to flick channels on to a programme that followed and filmed people eating throughout a week. People who couldn't understand why they were putting on weight despite "oh, I really don't eat much and I watch my meals". They basically scoffed down loads of snacks throughout the day without thinking about it and drank like half a bottle to a bottle of wine a night. Even they couldn't believe how much they were snacking until the footage was replayed to them and all the food was laid out on a table. Even a professional athlete probably couldn't exercise enough to burn off all the extra calories they hadn't accounted for.

Genevieve wrote:Nah, one of the main reasons people don't lose weight is misinformation on weightloss.

They start eating almost nothing and all of it is "healthy food" with no regards for macronutritional ratios (fats/carbs/protein). So they're starving themselves, which fucks up their metabolism and makes their body hoard all the mass it can, and most of what they will lose is muscle. Then they get so hungry that they binge and think they've failed and that they just can't lose weight.

It's because when know-it-alls give them diet advice, they only talk about HEALTHY FOOD YEAH HEALTHY HEEEAALTTTHYYYY AND PORTION CONTROL. But there is no such thing as 'healthy food', just healthy diets that together comprise of food they like and covers all the bases. When you have a diet of shitty salads without dressings, too much fruit, skinless chicken and barely any fat, you might get 'stereotypically' "healthy" foods, but how does that help you with weightloss? And why deprive yourself of tasty shit, especially when you're fat and in physical need of more calories to function?

There's also a stigma against 'fatty food', so they avoid fat at all costs which fucks with their hormones, including leptin, a hormone that is key for boosting your metabolism (or when they're trying to gain muscle, they get too little testosterone).

And all that focus on exercise too. Losing weight is about eating less calories than you use. So they jump into two completely new lifestyles at once. Exercise, which is foreign to them. And proper diet.. which is also from another world. That's a lot to tackle at once.
I totally agree with you on this. Most people now a days are just concerned with rapid/quick/easy weight loss which for the most part is not sustainable (unless you take up meth :corntard: ).

Your body does need to have a certain balance of different types of foods that you need. Fats, carbs, protein, ect. but most people dont know/bother with getting there balance right. All they see is "I need to stop eating carbs/fats/donkey dick!". Theres nothing wrong with taking in these things in moderation, but most people (especially in 'Merca) tend to over eat and not balance there intake properly. Or doing stupid shit like cutting out ALL fat not realizing that mono/poly unsaturated fats as well as omega are good for the body.

There are some people though who do need to seriously cut things out of there diet out of necessity. My wife for example has celiac disease (gluten allergy), and because of that ive been forced to alter my diet along with hers. And although i still eat bread/pasta/whatever, i just dont eat it as much or eat smaller portions, and i can defenity tell that it has had an effect on me for the better. Which leads me back to proper balance of foods.
