nice way to polarize this discussion. now you're basically saying that we HAVE to love jungle or else we're being "elitist". i've been a supporter in the nyc jungle scene for a minute now, and ^this kind of militant "support the scene" thing is totally counterproductive. no one likes having a group of people push things on people.
people can't be forced into anything. as dq said, this anti-jungle agenda that you're trying to establish, weakens your whole point.
never once anywhere on this board or on the breakfastscience board have you seen anybody tell you that you have to like dubstep. if you like it cool. if you hate it cool.
it's this kind of religious type of "support the scene" thing which i cannot stand. let the music do the talking, and if the music ain't doing the talking then it starts smelling like an agenda.
did you even read what i wrote? anti jungle? militant? RELIGOUS? o_O

i read everything you said. i was being sarcastic. the undercurrent of what you said is this "support the scene" nyc jungle perspective, which is what i'm addressing.

...
the point that everyone that's been scratching their head, saying "uh.... wait...." is making is that this vibe already exists. it already exists amongst the DJ's, the heads at the clubs, the promoters, the producers. All you gotta do is start a night and start booking people.
I'd love to meet someone who was only pro-dubstep/anti-jungle. would give me an excellent reason to break out the sleng-teng era dancehall. RAVE NOW, BITCHEZ!

take this risk. If the headliners are worth the money and the sound is good, the staff is friendly--it'll be aight.
