Dubstep flavours...

Post by robo-dub » Sat Jun 17, 2006 3:18 am

I heard Warlock play a set at Haywire Sessions last year, asked him the name of some tune that turned out to be a distance ditty little dub of something can't remember name  But after seeing Vex'd Live and buying Degenerate I was sold. Slime is a class bit of minimal percussive smoothbass business... And then Boxcutter... Mood... Ah...

it was a combination of hearing three tunes in succession at my mates house he played me tinji, request line and the knowledge.. blew me away! but rather than tunes it was rich and kirky from NozL who got me into dubstep and grime, they were so enthusiastic about it I just got caught up in the whole thing ... and now .. Im ALL about the dubstep

hmmm...good question --

but first off, Keith P...that avatar is too funny. :D

The first tune that got me into the darker stuff was Narrows' remix of "G.A.R.A.G.E". First time I heard that track, I was literally floored.

The first dubstep tune I was all about was Spectr - "Red Hot". After that, it was "Nomad"....and then after that, it all made sense :)
