i don't know why - i guess it's just because it's not sporting and as an english person i hate that - i think if you don't win by fair means then you can't really say you've won. but blah blah overpaid primadonna brats etc. they can all piss off, i'm going to watch the cricket :D
LMFAO at that last comment

but yea, thats where i was coming from aswell m8, having seen how the players from the 70's and 80's dealt with things i am becoming more and more disillusioned by it all with every game. players like graham souness and that back in the day would try and play on with a broken leg and be pissed off if they got taken off for it.

arjen robben will be back from injury soon, his antics are quite comical

there's an irish guy, Tadhg Kennelly, who plays Aussie Rules Football, and in a recent match he was on the wrong end of a nasty tackle where he dislocated his kneecap. in the replay you could just see him on the ground, whacking his leg to try and get it back in :o

(pic here. a bit gross but not too bad, not as bad as the eduardo pics!).

innit!

been getting quite into rugby lately for exactly that reason - and you can have a pint at the ground. in fact the grounds at rugby matches are normally more like a pub with a really big telly on

yea true say, which is he head of again, is it fifa or uefa? i forget which. but our own F.A for example isnt run by anyone who even seems to understand the game or know how to run it, they have got trevor brooking in to oversee future development, but thats just not enough.

what are platini and the rest doing to stop the game being ruined by cheats? they are more concerned with players who wave their shirt around after they score a goal
platini is actually in favour of divers!

:?
it's hard for me not to like platini being half-french and thinking what a brilliant payer he was...

still this is just ridiculous.. considering all the diving that has been going on in the first few matches I find statements like this one disgusting..

yea he was a great player. but hes dropped a right clanger there, cant be saying shit like that in his position, and so for that hes got to go, what sort of example does it set if they let him stay, providing he hasnt been misquoted of course

Platini, great player, now has a penchant for spouting bullshit like a trainee Sepp Blatter.

sad really

edit: aonther thing that makes me want to vomit are the so-called fanzones.. I was there in Vienna yesterday because they had a big screen there and I thought it would be nice to watch the game with other people.
Well, basically it's like a prison where they force you to drink something that is supposed to be beer and goes by the name of Carlsberg... for 4,5€... usually you'll get a pint of good beer for 3€ in Vienna..
Also you're not even allowed to bring your own beer... and they make sure that you can't get anything in... absolutely ridiculous.

well the tournament itself certainly hasnt generated any thats for sure. standard of football so far has been poor, germany played well, but i see better footy played in my local park on sundays
Exactly, the Croatia game was awful ... and all this ballet dancing for free kicks just makes me turn the channel over.

Netherlands are on it, Nistlerooy shouldve bagged a few though.

I have to say, with regards to the diving thing, did anyone see Ruud van Nistelrooy staying on his feet after the keeper came out and challenged him? He could have definitely got a penalty if he'd have gone down, but he didn't. Fair play to him, the horse faced dutchman.

haha, I have seen Ruud dive more than most strikers so I was shocked he stayed on his feet.
