Wicked night!

Spent most of the night standing next to the speakers.

I am surprised alot of you didn't know what the end was like.

The bouncers are militant! I am surprised that some of you were let in after being caught with weed at the door.

Always put it in your trainers!

The strobes and smoke always piss me off but there are spots inside the place where you can avoid it.

The system was crisp but a little bit more end would have been appreciated. I must admit that it't sounding all that any more.

what was hatcha's last tune? it switched every 16 from quite dubbed out half time to wobbly upbeat, fucking incredible!

loved hatcha and youngsta. wish i'd had the energy to hold out for mystiks and kode9.

i thought the security were surprisingly chill..

when i was leaving one of them told me to finish my beer cause the bottles were theirs but the beer was all mine! Standard issue but well polite..

no problem on the green front either

mi love it by skream. swear i'm always answering your tune ids for you colm! oracle business.

So yeah, the end was a good night. To be honest I prefer the nights at plastic people. The end is too distracting a club for dubstep IMO, all the lights and smoke etc as mentioned, security being long, and the system not bass heavy enough personally. I prefer the small dark room with big speakers thing, much easier to get lost in it all...

Well my legs still ache from the dancing and I did have a good time(although a few too many beers before I went in so aplogies to those who I met for the first time and slurred in their ears!) and I did love hearing Grime in the mix.

but...

Honestly, seriously I was glad my friends didn't get in or else I don't think they would have converted to Dubstep. Maybe if they had been ex DnB or Garage heads but, like me, they come from the house/techo/bigbeat/breaks scene and I don't think that what I have been promising them would have been delivered in the same way as if they go to DMZ.

Good tunes, great night but I've heard that system sounding deeper for DnB nights and it really didn't deliver the chestplate pressure. Also aside from Pokes and Crazy-D (who I think are incredible) nearly every other MC I have heard over Dubstep has overpowered it.

That said all of the FWD>> regulars seem happy enough and it's their night and I would go again because the vibe in the club is the best I have felt since 1989.

best thing was having some grime back at fwd - not all about dubstep ya get me - let's keep things diverse.

kode9 absolutely KILLED it at the end of the night. the man always does :D

Dubstep took the edge off the grime, grime gave dubstep the extra edge.

massive night, bass perhaps could've been louder but that's a minor. Japan, blipstream, me love it, new ironsoul that sounds like kalawanji played by n-type, blue note (mala?), deep concentration, all the benga ones were highlights, pity i had to leave early, tired cos had been at wireless (not all that, shadow was good...)

Just got back from London so I'm late on this thread, but yeah - a great night - in attendance from 11-6. I went into a bit of a tired slump at around 2am, but Mala & Pokes had me skanking out like I've never skanked before 8) Seriously heavy.

Smoke was a bit offputting (the last DMZ in Mass had a smoke machine too - unneccesary) and security went through everything in my bag and pockets, but they weren't aggro or anything. Oh, and £3.70 for a bottle of beer was mad, but I'm not from London so I get to complain about things like that

Seriously good night though, hoping to make it down to Plastic People in the near future...then back to Ben's to crash on a futon in the loft :D: Safety first blud, brapples and pears.
