This type of shit should be handled privately amongst the label owners and party planners of the scene, not publicly hashed out for the record buying public. Whether or not he shows up for gigs is not the same as whether his tunes are good.
That, and I thought these threads were against the rules to publicly tarnish someone, even if it's the truth?
LOL, wtf are you talking about mate? A dj set is a public event so its within everyones right to point out if the guy doesnt fucking show up...or if he just stands there and lets his mate fill in with a dnb set.
I personally dont care if hes the type of person who is likely to be a no show, ill probably still cop his E.P. on hyperdub. It just means if hes headlining a night i might be cautious about paying a lot of money to see it.

exactly
venetian snares is good example of this its widely known the mans a tnuc. Flawed genius perhaps. Yet people buy his music anyway, coz well they dont care. Maybe if Hitler made some sick dubstep i'd think twice about buyin it haha. otherwise doesnt matter to me
i think we can handle the truth

I doubt very much if he'll ever get another booking in Bristol.
All the promoters in Bristol know he's notorious for not showing up... word spreads fast!
He's missing out on a lot of good fee's im sure.... silly bugger
Slighty off topic but i personally think he's hugely overrated and doesnt warrent the hype he's getting. But that's just personal opinion

innit....
that's so naive!!!
lots of punters will blame a promoter rightly or wrongly for a no show. The artist often seems to escape blame even tho its their fault usually!

if he said the reasons for the noshow, and did it in time then ok. but if he didn't, well that's not ok..

I hear people going mad over his tunes, I go to his myspace and the first thing I hear is pretty much a straight lift from an old rave tune..badly edited. Is it just me,or are people slowly becoming more n more retarded? Whats wrong with just enjoying the original track,or is it not "new"?

It's a

It doesnt really matter what kind of music you make in dubstep atm if youve got kode 9 backing you though does it?
btw zomby is pretty hit and miss for me, but his previous 12" on hyperdub and the new E.P. both sound worth a purchase....

theres probably a valid reason(s) why he cant turn up for shows all the time. instead of saying he's a tnuc/dick/prick maybe you should all think why he cant turn up instead of posting this kind of shit on a public forum.

ive no idea why he's missed gigs, except that he has been ill for some, but thats between him and the promoters
the rest of you are
and if you were dead, i'd spit on your graves, and then set fire to them, and then, not being the violent type, throw on some dynamite just to make sure

this about sums him up, he personally sends people abusive messages (me included) over nothing at all. it's not even just a case of the guy not turning up at shows - if he's turning up and getting his mate to fill in and then asking to be paid, then that's quite another thing altogether. I personally rate his tunes - and just bought one, but I find it hard to deny that he's an awful person.

if i was to 'sum up people' based on their behaviour on this forum then. . .

It was July 2007, so thats only 16 months.... Also its not only this forum that he's acting badly on by the looks of things.

Absolutely.... if you're on hyperdub it's an automatic stamp of quality
I agree he's hit & miss.... some of his beats are great... others not so. He writes in so many styles though I guess that it's a case of some tunes are going to be to your tastes, others not. I do think he's overhyped though.
Ive never met him so im in no position to pass judgement but the reports from the promoters he's dealt with in Bristol are not favourable.
