How come Parsons and Hackman haven't made their presence felt in this thread, I think thats more of a conspiracy then zeitgeist.

the only thing conspiracy about zeitgeist is the film itself.... it's basically an ad for the eden project, which requires you to give it loads of monies, after raping your mind.

All you have to do is check out Zeitgeist's 'sources' to see it's total bollocks. Almost every quote is completely removed of it's original context to suit the makers' 'views'.

not sure about the 9/11 bit and the money bit but the religion section was on point, it's all just alegorical tales of sun worship thats been misinterpreted as being literal and used to wield power

Yeah, I'm not sure that it does get people questioning stuff tbh.

It's partly a feature of being a youtube video (rather than, say, a well written article with links to its sources), but it doesn't exactly present a balanced argument and encourage people to go and check out the sources, evaluate them and make their own minds up. It just encourages people to replace blind faith in the official view with blind faith in an 'alternative' view.

This is the leaseholder on the WTC buildings. Nothing was really wrong with the building; there were a couple of small fires, but not enough to cause any structural damage.

The odd thing i find is the bbc reports of the building collapse, when in this video, you can see building 7 just behind the reporters head on the left.

Ultra yawn at this thread..

Zeitgeist speaks mainly truth but it's truth everyone with a brain already knew and had gotten over.. 'Organised religion is irrelevant in our modern age!!?'...'The banks are greedy!!!????' etc

The stuff about the 9th of November was just filler lifted from a million other 'inside job' films...

The internet is great for empowering people to express their opinions and ideas and find an audience etc but there is so much crap out there, I always check out tvshack et al for new interesting documentaries but end up with a heap of 'Scrolls of the Mages of Zion' or wtever... such breeeeze

The part on religion was bullcrap. Their hypothesis that christianity was was based on Egyptian sun worship has been disproven and is just stupid. Yes, there are some similarities, but that's because christianity was originally a sect of judaism and judaism itself was influenced by paganism and even after the first testament was compiled, some jews went as far as to worship a female deity who was supposed to be the wife a God, also based on paganism at the time. The minute similarities of Egyptian sun worship and christianity (which are truly minute and hardly mentioned in the film) are all based on the fact that both religions have their origins in the pagan beliefs of the people in that area.

I have no strong opinions on 9/11, I do believe that further, more thurough investigation has got to be done but I don't believe that it was staged by the US government.

The part on banking contains some truths. Their connections, theories and thoughts are sketchy and their conclusion, which they presented in the second movie are pretty fascist and require the same coercion that they claim to despise, but the threat of large banking companies and corporations having infiltrated the Western world governments and run the economy thusly is very real and more than just 'conspiracy theorism'.

It's called corporatism and the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 and the creation of the European Union and implemention of the Euroe are some of the biggest steps taken to globalize the economy. We live in a corporatist world where people with big money fund big government to get big salaries. Ever wondered why, for example, Obama got the most corporate support from any presidential candidate (the same support Bush and Clinton got before him) and won? It's not because corporations are suddenly caring about the well being of the people. They care about profits and limited liability, which is something Obama's administration offered. For example, his secretary of treasury was the former president of the Federal Reserve and by all means, look up 'federal reserve' on video.google.com. The federal reserve was created by corporations and this is no conspiracy or secret. It was solely created by, among others, the Rockefellers to control the money supply of the USA with the false promise that a central bank would help secure the market (meanwhile the federal reserve caused the great depression and the 2008 financial crisis).

The USA and Western Europe are a modern, neo-liberal, corporatist equivalent of the Soviet Union. Where the markets are unfree and the people have little choice in who runs for office.

All this information came from the mainstream media.

People without an engineering degree or at least, without any hard and deep but informal training in engineering and physics having elaborate hypotheses on how certain, very specific structures are supposed to collapse under certain, very specific conditions come across like creationists trying to disprove evolution.

I'm sorry, really, but it's true. Everyone is welcome to have an opinion, but be humble enough to realize that 99% of us speak with very little authority when it comes to engineering and physics. When we're on the topic of evolution, geology and zoology, you best be damned I'll open my mouth and school all y'all, but I'll keep my uninformed opinions about the collapse of the twin towers to myself.

I find it hilarious that they use a Krishnamurti quote at start of one of the videos to support their cause when he was totally against anyone following anyone in any capacity

"All authority of any kind, especially in the field of thought and understanding, is the most destructive, evil thing. Leaders destroy the followers and followers destroy the leaders. You have to be your own teacher and your own disciple. You have to question everything that man has accepted as valuable, as necessary."

Yeah, their reluctance to follow religious figures but their willingness to follow a government entirely composed of scientists on the basis that they ARE scientists is pretty ridiculous. And contradictory to the quote.

Undeserved authority is undeserved authority, regardless of who holds it.

the thing about zeitgeist is that it is based solely on the research of jordan maxwell. dude is cool, but he doesn't have a lot of perspective imo. i think he is terrified and looking for evil and finding it and i think he should watch kymatica.

This is all old stuff in that doc mate, heard it all before going back years. Used to be really into conspiracy theory, now I'm like even if it's true, why do I need to care? One of my mates is REALLY into it though, won't shut up unless I tell him sometimes. How he managed to get married I'll never know!

Definitely believe the towers were brought down by a controlled explosion. Also believe that the US corporations fuck the world a lot, just need to watch the news to see that. However greys and all that shit, fun, but keep it for the X-files.
