AKIRA KITESHI - Pinball / Noglitch
Black Acre
12" // £5.99
DUBSTEP / GRIME / FUNKY
Released: Feb 2009
Catalogue Number: ACRE008
AKIRA KITESHI - Pinball / Noglitch, Black Acre

Debut release from Japanese Akira Kiteshi with a powerful bass transmission for Black Acre records. It may be a little lazy to descreibe title track 'Pinball' as very similar to efforts by his fellow countrymen Goth Trad and Quarta 330, but listen to it yourself and you'll see the distinct hallmarks of both producers wedged into this heavyweight track, with the detailed edits and gleaming structures of Goth Trad's finest work merged with the clipped angles of Quarta 330's 8-Bit functions, which is definitely no bad thing and should pick up the fella a good deal of fans. 'Noglitch Part 1&2' on the reverse opt for a wilder and more experimental approach, fitting the rhtyhm out with breakstep ticks and electronica twists for a rougher ride to the dancehall.

BBIIGG!! :D

This is the freshest tune I've heard in months. Sesame Street's become some dark alley! Can't wait for it to drop. Reckon Akira Kiteshi are gonna rip 2009 apart!
