fuck it i'm gonna try and find somewhere less west then... went to look at a flat today and it was shit anyway + i didn't like the vibe of the area at all!

Hmmm... any suggestions for places that are within easier reach of fun east areas yet still not mega long to get onto the M4?

(i'm probably dreaming on the budget i have lol)

Dont know man. I dont drive so i haven't a clue about the roads really. But, as long as you have access to the north circular you should be ok. A mate of mine used to drive from Clapton/hackney to somewhere way out west everyday and never had a problem. So it can be done. :D

I went to Cricklewood once and it seemed alright, similarly Hammersmith.

West isn't all bad, just maybe not as vibey as other bits of London in my limited experience.

And tbh I'd rather have to spend an extra half hour on night buses once or twice a week to go out than have to spend an extra hour getting stuck in traffic jams every bloody day for work

Greenwich is definitely the one. Fit birds, nice bars and GREENERY (which is rare in London).

Errrm, Streatham is decent and Shoreditch aint bad either.

dubluke wrote:oh man, if you can afford it, look for somewhere in greenwich, its really nice around there, nice pubs and a market at weekends etc. - you've also got one of the nicest parks in london, and its right on the river. for getting into town there's the 53 all the way into the centre, and you have a DLR station at Deptford Bridge (about 5 mins. from greenwich) and a Jubilee line station at North Greenwich.
Greenwich is nice... Deptford however is a fucking shithole, i "work" and do a music production course there which is pretty cool actually but for the most part Deptford's a fucking hateful place
