i just find atlantis a bit uncontrolable it freaks me out, but then crystal freaks most people out to. i would say include your own synth that would be intresting, what do you use to program your synths again?

Yeah man, Atlantis is an oddity. If you read the original post though, I did say it was for more advanced use. you can load your own waveforms into for use as either an oscillator sound source or LFO! :)

What do I use to program my synths? Pure intellect, passion and talent!

Er, SynthEdit.

Thanks so much for the post. Coming from somebody who's just starting out, this was a huge help. Any other tips, tricks, and suggestions are welcome.

I've added a few vst's into the folders and these were working fine with vista, but now i'm using windows 7 reaper doesn't find these extra plugins and it seems like it only finds the 'rea' plugins.

Does anyone know if this is just a compatability issue with windows 7?

Cheers.

Reaper is available for both Mac and PC. Check the main Reaper site for details. --->http://www.reaper.fm/download.php

regarding VST compatibility, I think VST .dll files read on a Mac, although I am unsure.

I am un able to help with Windows 7 issues. Your best bet is to check the Reaper forums here ---> http://forum.cockos.com/forumdisplay.php?f=20

Figured it out now anyway, its only 64 bit vst's that work with reaper 64 bit and windows 7. :(

Mer.

They're crap imo.......... Synthmaker synths always run waay too slow on my pc. Bloatware. Sorry itchy.

The two synths included are very very capable synths. It took me a lot of digging and testing to find one simple synth and one powerful synth with presets. Tal does basic sounds with ease. Oatmeal allows users to draw their own waveforms and use PWM on them... ;) Oatmeal also has a nifty randomise patch feature for lazy/incompetent sound designers... :)

But you my kind sir, are free to use what you wish. 8)
