@panleft: Lovin the downtempo mate, good work!
@alexvont12: Reason does not pwn FLStudio, especially the newest versions of it. Its not about the DAW anyways, its about your instruments and samples and skill/ability.
@Captain Planet: Not trying to put this down but the samples used and the track itself is sort of boring. Advice, don't have so many napoleon dynamite samples. The wobbles and stuff do sound nice but it just seems they drag on forever.
@Karma_blitz: Nice track, loving all the sounds you used!
@sprayyypaint: At first I didn't think I liked this but I've listened to it like 5 times now so it has something that keeps drawing me to it, just cant put my finger on it :p

I have 3 lingering Works in Progress...

This sort of was random so take it as you will...

sprayyypaint:
Mellow and chill vibe. Dig the unique sounds. Alot of interesting stuff there. Liked the changeup at around 2:00, was due for some variation there. Nice tune, sir.
Voodeedoo:
The production seems nice, crisp sounds and that. To me the melody kinda sounds like something that could've been a theme song for a childrens computer game. Gave me a slight flashback to California games on an antique sega, but this being a modern version. Nothing I would put on just for listening tbh, but production wise it sounds tight!
DubMikey:
Kinda lacks a melody to grab on to. To my ears it just sounds like random notes thrown together without forming a melody. The wobble's are decent tho. Like the hollowness of them. I'd use the song as a foundation sort of and just switch up the melody lines and that to make it more like a song. If you know what I mean. Cool background fx btw :)
Captain Planet:
I think the intro is a bit too long and not so interesting. I liked the drop tho, good job on the wobbles :) Was hoping for something more exciting in that breakdown but gets boring quickly when it's that long ass sample one more time. I'd spend some time on the intro and on the breakdown, but good job so far, look forward to hear the end result :)
Karma_blitz:
That sax is simply awesome and suits the tune perfectly. The guitar is killer. And that 2nd drop is sick, man! Only thing that I wasn't too much of a fan of was the chopped "air, air, air, air" I dunno why, perhaps it's the tonality that makes it weird for me, but this tune is sick, man!
ninthy4:
Cool stabby wobbles. Sounds like it is sidechained? Works well with that groove I think. But sounds like the vocal is sidechained under the kick which sounds weird.. might be that its just some colliding frequenzies or whatnot tho, I dunno. Point is I think the vocal could stand out more and not sound like its drowning under each kick.

(edit: didn't notice you up there Nicorisone, will feedback on soundcloud:) )

Would love some feedback on this.. was pretty happy with it initially but now I'm not so sure anymore:

@ FRash, pretty cool tune man, kinda gets abit repetitive.. but that's just personal opinion i guess. nice work though!
@ NICORISONE, love the percussion! and the over vibe is awesome. that was for trmeric! love to hear where you go with that
@ ninthy4, breakage bootleg.. pretty sick man. love that synth sound! what did you use ?

now here's my latest edit of my tune. spending as much time on my tunbes as possible now.. to get the best sound and just learn more!
Soundcloud

would love feedback on the mix and what you feeling at the end from 4 minutes.. tried to go really chill on that bit.. heavily influenced by Lemon Jelly !

tek9 - christ dude, i have no suggestions. even you know your music is ligit :P

sprayyypaint - jivin; start to finish! my only suggestion is to do something with the kick drum. it seems a little too staccato for the overall feeling of the piece. if it had a bit more of a tail it would be on point (not that it isnt already ;-) )

panleft - for 110bpm, its bouncy as faaaaaaack :6: i love the little snaps and claps throughout the percussion and im pretty sure if i had a bigger sub, your sub would give me heart palpitations. yes, that is a good thing. i especially love how the ending is a reprise of the intro and bridge. very well put together and composted. :W:

_______

heres an update;

i did my best to get rid of most of the painfully high pitched reverb as well as most of the reverb over all. i applied some parallel compression (from the thread that had been posted recently) and did some work to make everything fatter and fuller without lots of reverb. its the same tune, huge difference. please let me know what you guys think!

@Spraypaint - Love the experimental sound and the lush subby bass, nice drums too!

@Captain Planet - Like tha vocal throaty synth, imo it needs a bit of wet reverb however, not really over keen on the vocal sample however not a bad tune man.

@Karma Blitz - Like the intro, starts really well however does'nt feel like it goes anywhere, well produced just a tad repetative imo

All just my opinions guys!!

Here's mine, see what you think!! thanks in advance! ;)

@ NICORISONE: that's just lovely (first one) loving the chill flow in u'r track, good job

Finding it hard to comment on people when i know i'm not a good producer at all . So i just picked out the tunes i truly like, awesome job everybody :W:
Now this is my first dubstep tune ever, is it dubstep? ah who cares tried to bring my own sound from liquid into the dub ritme,
i would love some feedback and specially some tips and tricks to keep an eye on for technical improvement :4:
Thanks alot and i hope you enjoy !

@Krispies - I didn't think I was really an Ellie Goulding fan but you proved me wrong! I'd change would the claps, I think they sound a bit cheesy imo, i'd use a harder hitting snare and beef up the synths a bit. And maybe make the intro a bit more atmospheric.
@Liquifyah - Same as above, I'm not a huge fan of claps! But this is definitely better than my stuff, so if this is your first track well done! How long you been producing?
@Darkali - I'm not too keen on the vocals, or at least not with them that loud/upfront haha. But I think the build up's really nice! I think the synth needs a bit of tweaking, maybe it's just me but I think it sounds a little weird? Just my opinion!

Thanks for all the feedback on the last track everyone :) I was hoping for some feedback/opinions on this one now. I tried making a deeper but wobbly tune.

Thanks mate! Prefer u'r brostepp tune over latest 1 tbh, it's rather empty. It's got a groove but i would try to fill it out some more, pads perhaps?

And i've been producing for like 4months total or something :)

@Captain Planet thanks for the feedback I appreciate it. cool tune, I feel like it needs something a little more to beef it up but it has a good atmosphere, it feels unified like everything belongs, it needs something to bring it to the next level though.

@captainplanet I like what your doing with the reversed instruments, but it feels like its missing something... It sort of sounds like some type of noise should come in on the offbeats, to livin' it up a little, sick sounds though.

@krispies Always loved Ellie, great remix man! everything sounds great, I think any criticism here would just be nit-picking lol

@filthy sick track, only thing i can think is to maybe bring the intro up a little, it sounds just slightly to quiet

I was hoping to have this track further along then this by now, but oh well... My PC crapped out and I lost nearly all my samples/save files, so it'll be a long time before this song gets finished (although I'll probably restart it again sometime, I had alot of fun working on it an it seems like a waste not to). Oh well, onto bigger and better things! I switched to a newer more stable computer and am slowly recovering my lost samples, so i'll have all sorts of new stuff in the near future.
Oh glorious setbacks...

Reason completely "pwns" FLStudio when it comes to creating synths from scratch, but to rule out Reason and call FLStudio the winner is far from an easy statement, which in itself is completely subjective.
I feel like reason's interface is a lot more hardware than all these software DAW's out there right now, which is something I love.. customization.. I also personally find Reason a lot easier to get even levels with the "easy to use" maximizer they provide you. You can't get ANY simpler than that for pulling prime levels.
It is also a lot better at it's visual representation of automations, which is vital to dubstep, and various other forms of electronic music.
FLStudio has many strong points, for sure (Reason's lousy support for plugins and VSTs.. is a HUGE con), but to say one "pwns" another is completely naive. Reason, without the Record integration, is still MIDI only. FLStudio is just that.. a studio.. with audio and MIDI, full plug in support, and VST support. Something that focuses it's efforts on providing a solid MIDI-only experience will definitely beat a multi-use environment any day.

Rewire Reason into FLStudio and call it a day. You will have the best of both worlds.

@alexvont12: 1. Yes it is an opinion, this is also a feedback thread not an opinion on DAWs thread. 2. I was not being condescending at all, i actually gave you no feedback on your track. 3. You calling me a prick, uncalled for. Good day sir.

NOTE: I will never say FL Studio pwns another DAW and nor would I say any DAW is better than any other. It's a personal preference for the most part. I can make the same track in any DAW one way or another. I just really hate when people have the Reason vs. FL Studio war and I also think it is pointless to shout out your opinion on a piece of software on the internet, no one cares, it's not going to sway anyone from using what they like.

My point exactly... You chose to comment on my DAW side-mark (hence the parentheses) instead of giving feedback. You didn't have to say anything to me at all. As for the prick thing, your right and I'm sorry, I have a temper. :u: Now let's all enjoy some music :w:

@Mister Jangles I appreciate that a lot man, especially coming from someone who obviously knows what they're doing that song is pretty sick i loved the melody (main line, kinda bassy but you know what I mean.. melody haha) up until the drop.. and then the drop was sick too. if I was gonna suggest ANYTHING it would be to maybe add a couple layers right at the drop to help it hit harder right on the downbeat but that's about it, great song, love the glitchy sound

@prime|evil - Really likin' the dark vibes and drumwork.. I think the synth that comes in at 2:45 should fade in or have a longer attack. This would be a great soundtrack song to a movie or video game.. Can't say much else really.
