I think it's just people that don't want to give feedback really.
Otherwise the rules for most threads are on the first page.

Yes it is annoying and yes it is a simple rule to follow. At risk of repeating ourselves though, we have now ended up on a new page and for better or for worse we have lost the train of thought and the use of this thread. Read the rules and if someone doesn't just don't respond to them, otherwise we're just polluting the thread again! Thanks and sorry to bitch

I fully agree.
The problem is, loads of folks actually respond to their posts even though they never return to thank them or return the favor.
Anyway, no point in ruining this thread by mentioning it every time.

@FAARE FACED : I liked a lot the intro dude, but aren't the wobbles and yoy's a bit too aggressive and contrasting with the calm piano?

@Hashkey Well, that's why I plann on recording a voice to add tension to the buildup so that it sounds less aggressive (less contrast).
Or maybe i won't add a vocal and just bring more tension via instruments/FX

Beside that contrast, anything to say on the main part ?

I've just altered the bassline at the end of the tune I posted for feedback yesterday so anyone who is willing to give me some comments, check this version:

Thank you!

If you don't give feedback, you don't get feedback.
Sorry about that. I'm sort of new. xD I'll be sure to.

The snares could use some reverb. :o Sounds good though.

The mixing is brilliant and your drum pattern sounds excellent.

I'm currently working on eqing. I know the mixing is bad. :/ Also, I've now done my three feedbacks.

SonnyFnD: the drums sound clean, the basses sound clean, a kind of generic filthy sound& the best work is in the intro in my opinion. eqing is rough.

sigmund floyd: clean design, this too has that heavy mid range vibe & the eqing sounds pretty good in the headphones. im feeling the wubs /rhythm.

FAARE FACED: great build, it set up the drop like it should. im not usually into your particular choice of synth, but it sounds good in here. eqing sounds good.

good clips! :h:

Your track kicks ass. Nice everything. All I can say is about the snare. It would be better if it had more punch. The buildup if fucking beautiful.

Firstly... can we either get the '3 feedback' rule in the title of this thread or maybe a moderator that just deletes the posts of anyone that takes the piss or anyone trying to derail the thread?

Here's a bunch of feedback, i went through the past couple of pages worth. Anyone who comments on mine ill also comment on theirs.

Abide
Really interesting soundscape going on there. Some of the pad / bassy thing comes out a bit too loud so work on the compression. Maybe also try some other percussion. The sound at 1.22 didn't seem to suit the mood so much. Sounding cool though.

sigmund floyd
3 bits of feedback bro. Still listened and your kick / snare levels are way off in the intro. Theres loads more feedback to give but you gotta follow the rules.

SonnyFnD
Not a fan of that intro snare. Sounds like an 80s rock kit snare ha. Instrumentation is goo as the keys / arp go well together. Drums are a little repetitive. Intro seems a little long. You need to build into the drop better, cut some instruments / frequencies out first then build it up. Post drop, your basses need to be grouped / eq'd / compressed. Also try to come up with some hooks, at the moment its just a combination of a load of sounds. A key hook / melody will help make it more memorable.

FAARE FACED
Far too harsh in the top end when it drops, you need to tame that shit because its hard to listen to. Not keen on the kick / snare used, they're a bit wimpy for the kinda vibe you're going for.

CRYONIC DREAMS
Very chilled out track. High level of production here, everything has its own space. Only thing is maybe the bass could use something 100-300hz ish to give it more impact and fill out the frees a bit.

Turnipish Thoughts
The kick during the intro, i'm not convinced it needs to have a high hat layered above it.. it kind of distracts from the other hats. Flows nicely though. thats a BIG snare you have after the sub kicks in, might be too big for the track in my personal opinion, either that or a bit load. The delay on some of the hits is nice.

Here's mine. Its just a little remix / bootleg / whatever that I put together today for shits n gigs.

@Burgeamon: Your stuff is always on point. The vocals are a bit iffy though - sounds like a DIY acapella? The bass and drums are good though, although the main saw sounds very centered and seems to be lacking some low end. Overall it's a nice tune, and a decent bootleg. You just need to finish the mix, the high end synths seem too loud and the drums are a little muffled.
@Abide: The intro seems too loud, might be better if you fade/filter in more to give the bass drop more impact. The basses sound good although at times it masks the kick. Definitely some good ideas, but I think you need more in the track - perhaps a rolling pad, some strings or maybe even a piano in the background?
@sigmund floyd: Give feedback to others. Quick review of your track - try improving the mixdown especially on the intro and with the strings.
@SonnyFnD: I have to say I'm not a fan of the muffled drums on the intro. The arp is slightly repetitive, think about filtering it in and out. Also I would attempt to make the build better by filtering the piano and arps - also a drum roll would help. Mid/basses sound okay. Overall it's a good base - just try improving the EQ on everything and mix it down.

Alright guys here's a newer version of another track I'm working on for my EP. How's it sounding?

Don't have any track for feedback or whatever, just needed to drop in and say that sounded absolutely amazing. I love your samplings man, so smooth. Harmonies are great, the little sweeps in the drop are great, everything is just great man. Looking forward to that EP, hit me up when you drop it.

Edit: Well actually one thing though, the little drum break just before the 2nd drop at 2:12 something, it feels a bit off beat and rushed. Maybe bring up the last hit a little and fix the timing, but that could be just me/how you want it. Sometimes imperfection and not perfect quantization sounds good anyway and I often make my tracks a bit too clinical. Depends how you feel about it.

And maybe tone down the highs a little bit in that water sample, at like 0:43 it feels just a tad too harsh. Just a tiny bit though, I like the sparkle. Maybe de-essing or something, just subtly.

Thank you :w:

I actually meant to delete that little break haha, guess I forgot... although I might put a little shuffle in before that drop. Also, a lot of the percussion and hats are slightly unquantised in the track, you probably can't tell - but subconciously I think it stops it getting boring

And yep I agree, I think when "mastering" I used Ozone's harmonic exciter and it accented some of the high end that I didn't de-ess - think I'll slap a de-esser on my water and rain samples.

Edit:
Guys I also tried making the drums punchier more on this track too, so any oppinions would be great!
