Anyway, Bompa's tune "War" is fuuuucking mental! Comes in at 14:05 in this mix, VERY dark sounding. That melody has me punching holes in my ceiling.

I played ‘Kalindi’ live in Lisbon, Portugal last weekend. The whole crowd froze dead. Just stared me out. I was like ‘You’ve never fucking heard a soundscape in a club before have you’. I did it because I wanted people to realise I was trying something new. I was daring to go against it all. Playing honest music that wasn’t made at all for a club. Afterwards some girls came up to me to ask what the ‘Kalindi’ tune was. And I was saying to myself in my head ‘sick, it worked’.

Nah, it'd obviously have to be at the right sort of night, not just in the middle of some deep house/"bass music" night or something, but I could go to a club and chill to this:

Again, in the right situation, like, you'd have to know what you were expecting. Some of the ambient stuff out there, I wanna hear loud, on a good system, but there's nowhere that does it!

How is it an "over-exaggeration" In any way? He was making the point that no-one goes to clubs to hear soundscapes. I was TRYING to make the point that Burial tunes get regularly played out. Blatan WUM'ing on your part.
