Started watching True Detectives last night.
It's shaping up to be pretty good imo.
Great performances from both Woody Harrelson and Matthew Mcconaughey.

Also started Spoils of Babylon but it didn't really entertain me like I expected.
Great lineup but it seems like a badly made SNL short.

I see more TV series than even movies and I can say that there is no 'perfect' series (with a story) that counts as to be 100% worth our time unless it fits your taste and only then is it counted great. There are series you may find mindblowing like 'Firefly' given 9.2 on IMDb http://www.imdb.com/search/title?num_vo ... =tv_series but I would give it 5 cause it doesn't fit my taste. but the shows I've given is what everyone would like no matter what genre you like (or at least at start it'll be like this is shit but then something makes you watch the next episode for no reason
If I had to study or learn something from a TV series I wouldn't, I'd rather read to book (again my opinion) watching is for fun (pass time) and again as I said above...you count 'fun' to whatever fits your taste either fantasy/comedy/thriller/mystery etc.
The post asked to recommend and I delivered to my taste.

We watched the second and third episodes of Breaking Bad last night. It's actually pretty fucking great. I take a lot of it back.

On the 7th season of Entourage and still watching for some reason, although this season is a bit better than the last which was fairly awful.
[+] Spoiler
Is there actually going to be some consequences in this season?! Although I assume with a few phone calls everything will go back to being fine and dandy as usual with this show :( Turtle will smoke some weed, Vince will bang some bird, E and Ari will fight on the phone for a bit, Ari will fall out with his wife for a bit.
Don't know why I keep watching but I can't help myself :cornlol:

The final season of Entourage is fucking dogshit. Vince becomes a pussy tnuc, the Drama/Turtle storyline tie offs seem forced as fuck, only highlight of the whole season is Ari's wife's ass in the final post-credit scene of the last episode

They really could have made this a seriously awesome show if anything they done had any consequences. The writers just seem to pussy out of making any changes whatsoever, every season starts the same and ends the same, so tedious. Really don't know why I didn't give up after season 5. Probably cos it seemed like they were going somewhere after season 4, which was the best imo. Surely season 8 isn't worse than season 6?!
Tbh, the funniest bit of the later seasons has been Vince somehow getting the lead in that Michael Scorcese film, utterly retarded writing :corncry:

Whole thing peaked at season 3 and went rapidly downhill after the Medellin storyline.

Season 4 was the best for me, storyline was actually pretty interesting and the whole behind the scenes Medellin episode was great, one of the best episodes of the whole show for me. Really thought at somepoint they'd mix it up but it really has been the same joke for 7 seasons now, so so so so tired. Even Ari is failing to salvage it for me now.
Is season 8 seriously the worst of the lot? Feel I may as well finish it all now I'm this far and they're making a movie (which will probably be shit).

Actually no, I take it back. William Fincher's character and the Jonny Bananas storyline is fucking jokes at times, as is Mark Cuban's parody cameo of himself. But compared to the earlier genius, it's still a piss poor imitation riding the same jokes.

It's like watching mini movies because of the cast.
Very well made series imo.

It's like watching episodes of no country for old men.

Think I'll give this a go, not massive on it being a different story each season, but Matthew McConaughey's been great recently, so I'll give it a go.

Just re-watched the whole thing. There's some mad cringe moments but savour it. The choice of music is brilliant as well.

Brits - is 'Peep Show' good? Just read an article suggesting it as a good show on netflix.
